Or do you just use a regular keyboard?
>>7902200>consume>consume>consumefirsties are so rich they need to buy a separate keyboard to undo
>>7902201I imagine it's actually poorer people who need thisI have a very small desk and setting up my cintiq with my keyboard somewhere I can rest my hand to draw comfortably is a pain in the assI use a very old logitech gamepad for that, thoughbeitI wish I could just have a big office and a large desk for each of my hobbies
I use the shitty wacom remote that came with my cintiq. One of these days it'll break, one of these days I'll use something better. Until then I'll wrestle with the retarded dial controls, finicky buttons and buggy software
>>7902222You know what, you'd think for a 2000 dollar piece of hardware they'd get their goddamn software right. I tried leaving a review about this before but they removed it. Adobe ass company.
>>7902200if you spend hours drawing, they are worth it for the improved ergonomics. spend a day setting up and getting used to the keybinds and it will speed up your workflow too. knobs aren't as useful as they seem. you just need a decent amount of keys and a good shape, the gaming keypad ones are the best i've seen.razer tartarusrazer nostromorazer orbweaverthey are overpriced, so buy used. plenty on ebay/craigslist/facebook marketplace that are barely use since people try it a couple of times for gaming then never touch it again.
>>7902200i have a full size keyboard on top of my intuos large, mostly for some random shortcuts that i don't regularly use. for the most common stuff i use a 8bitdo micro.im lefty, so regular keyboards don't fit comfy on the right hand without having to redo every single shortcut in existence. in the end, a old model one hand keyboard has been the best experience, it was called delux T9 47-key. but is not enough for blender, or other software.
>>7902200Only those "black hoodie+black baseball cap" 40s old guy from Youtube using this.I work as an artist BUT i also like to play videogames.i dont need another garbage on my deskand i need just to clicl Ctrl+Z and other easy stuff + continue playing when i want to distract myself.Having another keyboard with another bunch of buttons will disturb my autism.
I just use my keyboard, but I have one of those desks where the keyboard slides out from underneath the work area/top. I I can totally see needing one of these if you don't have such a desk, and have to move your keyboard out of the way to start drawing.
Regular keyboard. All shortcuts are configured so that I don't have to move my hand around, similar to when I'm gaming. Brush is X, eraser is C, selection is S, fill/bucket is Q, etc.
>>7902200I have one but lunix nukes my config every time it updates
i got this as a gift. The wheel is actually finnicky and keeps jumping ack and forth instead of continuously in the direction you're turning it. Not sure if that's just mine arriving broken or the thing being poorly made in general. My table surface is low and id have to place my tablet at an awkward distance to myself to make space for a regular keyboard, so during drawing time, I usually switch back and forth between using this thing or having my actual keybaord on my lap
>>7902200I use a pencil to draw
Those gaming keypads don’t care that left-handed people exist.
>>7902935i map my shortcuts exactly as you mentioned as well
Does anyone draw on ipad with any of those? Would you recommend it?
>>7902235>knobs aren't as useful as they seemtrue, I guess? have a megalodon macropad and my knobs are just used for brush opacity, size and zooming. not sure what else to do with them besides binding them to my color wheel. overall, I like using it.
>>7902995>a fellow left handerMay I ask what macro keyboard you use, and if you would recommend it?
>>7902995the cheapest thing for a lefty i have found is this thing: delux t9 for 20 bucks, it allows to have 6 keys per row on 1 hand, space bar including numbers and F keys. you even have on the sides things like escape, volume + -.is a normal keyboard, so you have to manually use something like autohotkey to change one key press for another (i made the key bellow esc into a enter key, and also the window key), if you dont like the default available settings.
>>7902220>I have a very small desk and setting up my cintiq with my keyboard somewhere I can rest my hand to draw comfortably is a pain in the assI have a small desk too, because I was short-sighted and cheap... now I figure it would be to much of a bother to throw it away because my landlord is a piece of shit. Anyways I usually have my keyboard behind my cintiq when drawing, the pain in the ass is setting up for drawing my cintiq is atop of my tower.>>7903113>brush size>zoomingidk about macros, but when I was on windows using my intuous 4 I constantly used and the little pop up wheel, it started failing me this year I miss the old tablet
I saw a short where some japanese artist was doing a "whats in my bag" video and they held one of these sideways in their left hand as a macro pad.
>>7902235>knobs aren't as useful as they seemSoftware issue. It's stupid how hard painting software devs are sleeping on this.
