How do I stop chicken scratching?
Get a huge fucking canvas (or tablet)
>>7903412By drawing longer continuous lines? How else would you stop?
You lose your soul if you stop
>>7903412Draw using your shoulder and arm
>>7903416No that's if you sign a deal with the devil, we're talking about drawing.
>>7903416chicken scratch doesn't mean you have soul
the actual real correct answer is to fill up a sketchbook using nothing but a ball-point pen. no erasing allowed.
>>7903412Draw a lot of lines on a piece of paper until it turns black. Long continuous smooth lines. Engage your elbow. Engage your shoulder. Look while making the lines.Drawing = hand-eye coordination
>>7903440>ball-point penBallpoint is similar to pencil, you can build value with it. As someone who spent last year using nothing but pen and ink for traditional art (usually on a lunch break for work) when I didn't feel confident or was learning something new I'd default to ballpoint because it's the most forgiving. In fact I kind of had to chicken scratch more because the ink didn't flow as well.If you want to stop chicken scratching get a couple of micron pigmas (or felt tip pens) or a fude brush pen and the fear of fucking up will make you think before putting down a stroke.
>>7903447that's a man
>>7903448maybe, I don't remember the ref I used, it was a year ago. I do know really rushed the proportions (I was bad at them at that time, little less awful now) because of my short 45 min lunch break. When I went back to pencil and could actually use some construction drawing was way easier.
>>7903412chicken scratching is fine. not developing your lines is not fine. you need to intentionally interpret your chicken scratching, leaving it up to the observer is why it's a crutch/shitjob in the first place.
>>7903436True, but no chicken scratch unquestinably means you don't have one
>>7903412simple;stop being a chicken and fucking DRAW.
>>7903412You need to draw more and develop hand eye coordination. Copy from reference, contour draw without looking at the paper around 80% of the time, when you do look at the paper look where you want your line to go and make the motion towards that point. You have to figure it out on your own and hammer in instinct unfortunately.also how did they teach that frog to do that? is that photo real? i hope there was no animal abuse involved...
>>7903697good advice, and also, its literally a miniature state. no harm involved.
'ghost' your lines a bit, make the motion you think you need to make the full longer line, but don't press down, then when you think you have it, commit to the line.
>>7903739do anons really?
>>7903705except to the original frog that was cast...
>>7903756..its not a statue?
>>7903755anons? maybe. it's advice wesley burt gave
>>7903412post your frog
>>7904043
>>7904043i drew a different frog but he's playing the banjo
>>7904684why did you draw lines over the froge?
>>7904691because he deserved it
>>7904111>no (You)sThis board is dead. Great work anon, get the fuck out of here
>>7904684I like this frog the best
>>7904111Good job
>>7903421Oh, my bad
Forg
this looked like crap until I slapped a bunch of filters and messed with the color curves.
Not a drawing but meme.
>>7907639The fonts look uncanny. Try the white ones with a thin black outline. Meme staple
>>7907417This is actually good
>>7907659Thanks blud frogs are the best. Sometimes I wish I was a frog and could spray my sperm into a female frog while sitting on her
>>7903412BIIG PAPER. Paper is superior to digital art when it comes to practicing things like this. And think before placing down a line
>>7904043I was roughing this one out right when my old ass tablet finally gave out on me. I can't get a new one for a while so I'll just post it.
