>>7905439Yes, I do believe you can. It takes a lot of work, and like another anon said, it will take a change of character. You have to allow yourself to be shit without ragequitting, but still have a drive to be better. You will feel hopeless sometimes, and you will get frustrated, but you have to have the character to continue, to learn, to analyze, to act.There are a thousand skills to learn with drawing, So it's not gonna be easy. But I do think anyone, who REALLY wants to do it, can.
>>7905439Just plan it out.Do roughs of everything. Become strategic in your layouts, and unique in its look. If it is a public domain story, then its art direction should make it stand out. And don't think of Goodness or Badness with applying your art to the project : use Does it Work as your touchstone. Look at greeting cards and children's books, and deduce why these things made it to shelves and what qualities prompted their manufacturing. You may not find much Loomis, but you will see simple yet effective styles selling ideas and telling stories.

Remember that it's ok to failure - it's part of the process. Failure shows us what we need to improve. If you review your failures and improve on them, even slowly, you will eventually become good.
