Anybody else making sure to destroy all their art before they die?
Alternatively, why leave anything behind?

I burn all my sketches because im not skilled enough yet and feel embarrassed when people see my drawings. Is this normal?

Slop made me act on it faster. I don't want to accidentally leave anything of value to normalniggers or poison slop with it.
I love watching slop flood everything. I hope normalcattle chokes on slop forever.

You know..Ive considered this a whole lot. I dont really have anyone I can trust enough with this, they'll probably just rummage through my things after I croak and laugh at my lewd scribbles instead of carrying out my will to have them destroyed.

So what Ive concluded is..I have to develop some kind self-destruct contraption to go off once someone tries to force my footlocker open(Yes, I keep my most precious lewd creations locked away in a footlocker and No, I wasnt in the army or anything like that but I did get it as a 'payment' from an old vet who needed help clearing out one of his rental properties).

So yeah probably something that involves a phosphorus strip, to light something soaked in a flammable liquid, which in turns ignites something even more flammable and so on and so forth. Could also go with something electric instead of match strips, not so sure how to tackle the battery life issue though, mechanical might be the better option.

Also the prospect of sleeping right next to a wooden box filled to the lid with flammable substances and material is something that kinda bothers me whenever I lay down at night, I want to destroy my work posthumously not burn myself to death in the process..as romantic as that may sound.

I also have not given a thought to how I'd do the same with my digital stuff..I guess just not leaving my login password should suffice? most of my remaining family are turbo boomers and zoomers that dont know what a keyboard does.

i dont draw anything explicit or gory so maybe thats why?

No. I've kept every single sketchbook and notebook I've had ever since I was 7. I want to be able to look back and see how much better I've become and to reflect upon my life. I'd also like to leave proof that I lived, and that through me, all the stories and characters I made were allowed to live, if only for a while, in the paper and parchment I scribbled onto.

It would be a shame for the work of a lifetime to be destroyed, you know.

I stopped post my art online, I can't even bring myself to post in anonymous forums either. I feel it's because the fear of AI Jeets but also normal faggots don't appreciate the arts and do they deserve nothing from me. Most people aren't even real humans. And all everyone says online is safe cuddly encouragement that has no value let alone nowhere near their true feelings on what they are seeing. So why bother.

What's the point of art, if not to be seen?
If you're so self conscious of your art, then go ahead and destroy it, but I'm reminded of Kafka, who in one of his last bouts of self loathing, was begging his friends to destroy all his written works on his death bed - they looked at them, said they can't bare to destroy them, and had them published instead. Kafka is now heralded for his writing.

But what if his works weren't good? People would have just looked at them, and proceeded to forget about them.
Point is, there's now reason to destroy your works, because if they're no good, no one will remember them anyway, which is the same as them being destroyed regardless.
Might as well keep them around and let fate decide if your efforts were worthy.
Think of Henry Darger's artwork, and how he's become known after death because of them.

There's always an audience for something. I doubt anything will truly become forgotten if at least one person bothers looking at your work. This board has a schizo who is obsessed with the characters of a FTM tranny that got ran off the internet because of some drama about grooming.

I'm not destroying anything. I would like for my time on this Earth to be remembered somehow, even if it's just by a couple of people stumbling upon a picture a hundred years from now on and thinking "wow Anon must've really liked this unfamiliar looking character/thing" before moving on with their lives and never remembering it again. The internet and the sites I left them on may or may not exist by that time. If they don't, too bad, but I'm not going to speed up that process myself.
I'm not smart or imaginative or skilled enough to be part of anything truly great, so this is the best I can do. My stuff may be shit but it's shit I made, and it makes me happy when at least one other person likes it.
