How would you git gud if you only had like an hour a day to draw?
I would draw
>>7907574that's not enough time to get goodpast /beg/ you'll just stagnate
>>7907574Okay we always get some fucking thread like this on the catalogue so I'll just throw my two cents here and say that yes an hour an hour a day is enough to learn how to draw. You dont have to do anything special except just have courses and materials ready ahead of time so you can better plan out what you wanna do, but an hour a day isnt exactly a fucking handicapLike speaking from personal experience I started out by learning on Youtube, and I mean BACK IN THE DAY when vids could only be 10 minutes max. That was enough to see how [insert Youtuber here] did their shit and try to do what they did. And now in the current landscape of youtube most lessons on these kinds of subjects dont go past the 30 minute mark unless they are just showing several variations of the same thing. Also in b4>muh animeShit that "real" instructors teach also dont prattle on for that long either. Like I know theres those old ass Vilppu vids where he prattles on for more then an hour doing old man things, but him and his ilk have those NMA courses where each lesson they have is usually split up into 20-30 minute intervals for people to just digest. If you really wanted to apply yourself that would still be an easy thing to do: 30 minute for lecture and 30 minute for applied practice with whatever instructor you decide to go with. Any 1 hour+ vid that you see usually has some live demo mixed in and isnt a pure lectureAlso anons like this >>7907599 are fucking retarded this isnt a fucking race if you know how to apply yourself and actually do draw every fucking day its fucking fine. The only reall issue might be if you wanna learn how to paint but for one thing you can just do Bob Ross shit cause you learn how to blend colors and values with him and thats half the fucking battle and the other thing is that you got artsy fartsy fags who do those dumb oil painting that paint for like 1 hour every day for like 4 fucking years, they clearly arent rushing it so why should you?
>>7907574Focus on exercises, rather than "just drawing" - this doesn't mean you can't draw what you want, but try to make what you're trying to improve a core part of that drawing. So if anatomy is your weakness, do drawings of weightlifters, or people exerting themselves while at work, or two boxers duking it out, etc.Want to draw sexy women, but your perspective sucks? Sexy woman in a big city scene, sexy woman in a bar (with the entire bar draw), sexy woman sitting on a bunch of in perspective cubes, (sexy woman in) a group of sexy women all at different planes and heights, etc.So just make an image that interests you, that also focuses on the area you are currently weak at.Of course, if you're not at the level where you can 'just draw' the thing your need to practice (even with reference), do some studies or exercises from books, or something along those lines.>>7907599>that's not enough time to get goodI disagree. It's not enough time to get good quickly, sure, but it's enough time to get good.If people can get home and study coding, or another language, or do actual fitness exercises, and learn these things and improve themselves with just an hour each day, then drawing is no different.Or is there is sort of magical time threshold, that if not met, will force you to immediately forget everything learned and practiced up til that point? Also, an hour is just the arbitrary number given by OP, it may be the case he has more time, but believes that the hour is all he can and will give - when he starts the hour, it may go on to two or three hours, if he gets into it. On days off, he may have far more time and put in way more time.
>>7907574Is that even possible lmao
what is that
>>7907599/threadAnything else is cope from adult learners who weren't lucky enough to start as children/teenagers or too poor to have free time for drawing practice/mentorship
>>7907574paint outside for 30 minutes, paint marble busts inside for 30 minutes. not always to completion. I'd have many painting going at once and have a rolling completion order
>>7907574>How would you git gud if you only had like an hour a day to draw?Very very slowly.
