I miss 5 years ago pinterest, it was amazing finding stuff in 3 or 4 image clicks, now they fucked up their algo with ads and retarded censorship. any good alternatives for image refs and other artists work?

I never really liked pinterest even before it was flooded with AI slop. Feels like no matter what topic I search for I get the same 20 or so most popular images just in poorer and poorer quality, and finding anything remotely specific is nigh impossible because most users don't know or care to tag shit accurately. It's just another social media brain rot trap designed to keep you endlessly scrolling rather than actually doing anything productive.
As for alternatives, Artstation comes to mind for artists work and it also has reference packs available for purchase, some of which can be found in the /ref/ thread where you can also try to request specific packs you want. /hr/ has regularly threads dedicated to interesting subjects and autistic niches between the thot posting, I've gathered a decent collection of refs for things like architecture, landscapes and materials like pic rel. I also like to collect screen shots from high quality YT videos, shows, movies, cuttings from newspapers and magazines, anything I like the look of. In short, I recommend cultivating your own database of references. It's more work than Pinterest's few clicks, but I'm afraid sites like it are just bound to go to shit sooner than later as that's the price you pay for convenience.

Try https://same.energy/
It's not always perfect but it does its job
https://www.cosmos.so/discover this one as well

Sometimes Artstation is fine when it comes to art.
Find one artwork, check who posted it and then look at their favorite/following page and may find something that interests You

Thanks for these. I'm always looking for more sources of refs and who knows how enshitified pinterest can become :(

>clicks on 3d renders
>everything is pastel
Why?
>>
>>7909597
Oh wait I see, clicking on stuff gives you more of the "same energy", but making the default presentation be predominantly pastel means it's a pain in the ass to start finding a vibe that isn't a soft pastel pallete.
>>
>>7909599
there's a search field under your current image (top left)
>>
>>7909603
Yeah, I think the site needs some work. Clicking on an image should make it preview the image. I don't want to have to chase an image around on my screen after the screen refreshes to give me more of the same energy, just to look at it, it's obnoxious. They should have the image pop up on the screen as the feed refreshes in the background. I also don't like how a lot of the images are low resolution. I think the site functions more as an image aggregator than an image host, which means that many of its images will just be a rip of a thumbnail. It's a pretty decent idea but its execution makes it hard to want to use.

I haven't checked out the other site yet
>>
>>7909607
You might be kinda retarded, ngl
>>
>>7909612
Alright, explain to me how clicking on image and not having it expand the image and instead making them have to click on it again after the feed refreshes is peak user experience. Please, maybe this is some revolutionary new tech that I'm simply not grasping.
>>
>>7909615
Explain to me how you're too low IQ to try the other button on your mouse, you dumb nigger
>>
>>7909617
So let me get this straight, when most people would I don't know, click on an image to preview it, you expect them to right click it? Do you know what an intuitive user interface is? Since this is probably your site, I'll also tell you, why the fuck would I use this piece of shit when you just rip all your images off pinterest? Even AI generated slop? Like what?
>>

>>
>>7909621
Imagine being given feedback and being personally offended by it. Here's a fact about user interfaces, most people are retarded, you should treat your UI as such. If you aren't going to make a left click the default preview then make that explicitly clear. If you want your site to succeed then actually take feedback constructively even if it's from a retard, even more so if it's from a retard, because most users will be retards dumbass.
>>
>>7909622
It's not my site, you worthless nigger, I just clicked on the two links in >>7908491 and closed the one that asks for an account, then tried to help your retarded nigger ass because you're too fucking inept for basic functioning on a computer.
You are a fucking mongoloid, my man.
>>
>>7909624
You know why companies are successful anon? Because you need to understand that most people will be retarded. This site is not that. On top of the other valid criticisms I've given. Why would I use this site when it's literally a rip of a rip? This site rips images from Pinterest rips images from the internet. It's like jacking off to a video of a guy jacking off to porn.
>>
>>7909627
Not reading your inane low IQ posts, sorry.
>>
>>7909629
Typical pseud deflection sorry not sorry
>>
@Anynimous Your a fag lol btw how do I reply I keep clicking on Anonymous and nothing's happening and there's no reply button what a shitty UI I can't even see the engagement deadass not bussin frfr
>>
>>7909634
Cute. The fact you're still this pressed about my comments makes me think you really are the site designer. You should read a little bit about UI and UX design and maybe then you'll understand how that site is fucking shit at it. Maybe once you up the level on it, it can go from hipster temu Pinterest to something more. Until then, it's hot shit.
>>
Still not reading lol
I can tell you're seething tho
>>
>>7909640
Wow you really are like a toddler. Lmfao. What's next you gonna stick your tongue out while saying you can't hear me? What kind of juvenile shit is this?

I'm real happy for you

Two faggots

So no actual alternatives huh? This is the best we got?
>>
>>7909648
the best is not being retarded enough to need an aggregator in the first place, you're gonna have to learn to live with your disability
>>
>>7909648
>garbage
not having to deal with the shitty pinterest ui and jump through hoops for the actual image source already makes it better
>>
The admins of Pinterest are lowkey bros and on your side, believe me. The "censorship" is to satisfy the tranny media so they stop writing hit pieces on them, but you can still find good references by not deliberately searching for the words "girl" and other common phrases. Once you find those references the recs will give you more and then there is no need to do anything after that.

https://film-grab.com/
http://referenceangle.com/
here are some i use for references/inspiration
i also don't see how pinterest is unusable if all ur gonna use it for is inspiration. also imagine having ads in 2026 r u also running on internet explorer?
>>
>>7909644
is this for Casper? who we going after chief?
>>
>>7909671
damn i havent used referenceangle in a second, it used to have a lot more images it's kinda scuffed now. flim grab still looks kino though
>>
>>7908012
It's a shame FFFFOUND! died. It couldn't create personal boards, but it was great for going down rabbit holes of inspiration and references.
That aside, are.na is pretty cool, though the whole paying for an account thing is lame (free account seem quite limited, from my understanding), but if you just find a few people and boards to bookmark, they'll basically curate a bunch the images for you.
>>
>>7909642
you sound like a typical redditor, anon..this is bad news
