15 years ago it was feasible and real that you could build a small but strong fandom on deviantart, webtoon, tapas, pixiv, ect who shared your obsession or liked your style, you didn't have to be fucking pro level just to build a small following or even get your foot in, you just had to be awake at the wheel and put some effort daily, but with internet now coalessing into like 5 sites, thirdworld getting access to the internet, AI, normies becoming tech illiterate, it feels like a fucking crapshoot when you put anything up anymore, like it's an all or nothing. Followers mean nothing, you can gain followers but your posts can have zero activity, is there even a path forward through this shit without total web 2.0 collapse?
