How do you get out of a motivation slump?
>>7911303Powering through, no other way around it. When Im lacking motivation its because I have to do the tedious part of whatever I am working on, and that part is not going to be done until I do it.
>>7911303The unfortunate reality is that motivation never actually comes to you when you aren't working. It's like how the best way to get energy when you're tired is to get up and exercise. It's cruel, but that's the solution. Just start doing stuff and mold it until you get where you want. The motivation will come.
>>7911303What a retarded image>How do you get out of a motivation slump?Figure shit out, nobody can help you with that but youself
>>7911421what's wrong with it :?
>>7911303I generally just look at art I think is cool and sort makes me want to make similar cool shit.Go through your art folders (the art of other people).
I read Aristotle's Metaphysics.
>>7911438>All men by nature desire to know. An indication of this is the delight we take in our senses; for even apart from their usefulness they are loved for themselves; and above all others the sense of sight. For not only with a view to action, but even when we are not going to do anything, we prefer seeing (one might say) to everything else. The reason is that this, most of all the senses, makes us know and brings to light many differences between things.
>>7911303i have never seen a useful one of these images
>>7911303You draw the things that excite you and make you like doing art. Take a break from grinding fundamentals if you've been grinding them too much. You need both.
>>7911303right image is not appealingyou can draw realism all you want, but if it doesn't activate the neurons its shit
>>7911303Just draw (tm)Literally. If you still have problem starting what I find helpful is sleep or doing absolutely nothing (like no phones, no listening to shit. Nil.) Some time later my brain will just up and do the thing because its better than being bored from doing nothing.
>>7911423Not that anon but I also quite dislike these arbitary do/don't rules that don't actually explain the reasoning behind the "thing a bad thing b good" statements. I understand what the image is trying to say, be sure to connect the neck under the chin correctly so it doesn't look unnaturally flat, but the examples given of the "wrong way to do it" just plain suck. The lower example I kinda get, I would personally move the line a little further back on the jawline, but overall I wouldn't call the "bad" examples here mistakes one should avoid at all costs, especially if you're drawing in a more simplified style. The "correct" way here just adds more realistically rendered bones and muscles and yes, it's good to have some idea of how the anatomy there actually works even with simple drawing style, but implying that the left is always incorrect is just bad advice IMO that at best helps no one and at worst just confuses begs just wanting to their anime OCs.
>>7911303By building up momentum. The more momentum you have in creating things, the easier it becomes to just sit down and create. It becomes second nature if you just do it everyday, liek brushing your teeth.
