Art takes time and can be discouraging don't let your skill be your bottleneck, instead think that you're exploring rather about how good or bad you are- it's not about you right now only art. Every new thing you explore will result in a dip in quality of artwork because you will have to learn how to integrate that new tool into your process, don't allow this to discourage you either chances are when your fairly adequate (not even good) It will change your process for the better.
