My grandpa worked as a martial artist until he is senile and had taught me some moves too along side some tapes for me in case he died or in this case got dementia.I was wondering if tracing his tapes or recording myself doing those moves then tract it in my art is ethical or moral or socially acceptable. Tbh the old fuck got a shitty style and his martial arts are more in the health improvement part like yoga but it still looks cool
If you own the material it's 100% fine legally and morally speakingSo we're in the territory of "some people will not like it when you do it" but how would they find out if you didn't tell them unless your drawing is so shitty that it's obvious in which case you just gotta work on them skills like anyone else... but only if you actually give a fuckAnd why is a variation of this same thread popping up every 3-4 days now
I just asked and they said no, it's not ok.

>>7920367Sure go for it.Tracing tends to give a more stiff feeling to the drawing and it obviously isn't going to be stylised in any way by your hand, but it's a decent way to learn, and can make quick results if you're going for a very realistic drawing.
