>decent art>one of the biggest online artists during the early internet>sense of humor no different than the most popular reddit comics of today (pizzacake is practically Dobson's blue bear comics reskinned with a girl)>no more obnoxious than any online griftfluencer you see todayWhat did Dobson do that was so wrong that he was chased off the internet?
>>7934938He had weird obsession to blonde guy bullying him in school. He also tried to defend Apple over regular PCs. The dumbest moment was him telling Robin Williams' daughter to "Calm Thine Tits" after the daughter made post about her father killing himself.
>>7934938He was a cringe nerd in an era where all the cringe nerds liked to pretend they weren't cringe nerds. He's only still relevant in the minds of cringe nerds who are, decades later, still in denial about being cringe nerds.
>>7934949>>7934938His family forced him to stop being an online clown because it cost his brother his job
>>7934938he was a sheltered and cuddled artist who couldnt take any criticism and fell into a victim complex despite most people enjoying his work.
>>7934941Damn, I used twitter when it looked like this and I missed this bit of Dobson lore, he was already the inflatable knee guy afaik.
>>7934941This is all so tame it sounds like sarcasm.
>>7934974The things by themselves as one time occurance would be one thing and not an issue. But Dobson made his identity and his art persona and art itself about themFor example the Power Girl cosplay episode. He rewrote the scenario about the Power Girl cosplayer getting harassed by someone and Dobson's art persona bear beating up the harassing guy.
>>7934974>>7934976But then it was revealed the cosplayer didn't actually mind posing for the guy photographing and Dobson was just sitting at the back watching the scene and deciding he needs to make it look like he saved the girl
STOP POSTING ABOUT DOBSON I'M TIRED OF SEEING IT
>>7934978You're still saying it like any of that is worth caring about.
>>7934951>>7934950>>7934941>>7934976Dobson is based. I'm so disgusted by the current landscape of the internet that I yearn for the simpler times when Dobson being obnoxiously cringe was a big controversy.
>>7934995No one would care if he himself didn't post about it and make his online presence about it. Personally, if I didn't know about it, I wouldn't care. But I do know about it and my view on Dobson is what it is because of it.Before internet one would have easily thought majority of people were well adjusted and somewhat smart. But then internet became more accessible and people were conditioned to think their thoughts and opinion matter and they were given megaphone and stand to go and make their dumbest take available for everyone.Do I go around thinking about Dobson in my daily life? No. If I see thread about Dobson and get reminded all the shit he brought upon himself and his family and have nothing better to do but post my 2 cents? Yes, I do that.
He had comment section psychosis. Some people just shouldn't venture into the comments.
>>7935001There are a million and one people who are this cringe, the only reason you care is because he was designated a sacrificial lolcow a decade ago and you ate up all the dumb drama shit.
>>7934938He acted like a hypocritical bitch. To his credit, he had the balls to actually come to this board for advice. People tried to chase him off but someone told us off for being hypocrites when Dobson actually came here to fix what we bitched about.>>7934950I don't know if this is true. Apparently his brother stepped down and even the TV station he worked at didn't know why.>>7934941>>7934954The sad part is I understood why he posted it. He was trying to cheer her up with a funny image but clearly didn't understand why sending that panel was a bad idea.
>>7935003>There are a million and one people who are this cringe, okay and? whataboutism>the only reason you care is because he was designated a sacrificial lolcowyes and he was also fat and ugly. People like him were born to be bullied.
>>7934941>He also tried to defend Apple over regular PCshe lived to be vindicated, 2bh
>>7934938> pizzacakeIs she even truly a thing? Her posts get more than 10k upvotes with sometimes less than 100 comments. And only on a subreddit where anyone who does not praise her gets banned. Should be obvious that she is massively botted.
>>7935035She earns thousands on patreon, stop coping.
>>7935035she's the most posted artist on /pol/ after stonetoss
He traced the Big Ben into one of his illustrations, and tracing is a crime according to non-draw normies.
>>7934938when this retard was active, the internet wasn't flooded with normietards who clap like seals at the likes of pizzacake. If he made his garbage today he'd get thousands of updoots on reddit.
>>7935035She's previously been proven to bot her posts to hell the second they go out so they hit front page, and she bribes the mods with her flabby tits to allow it and ban any criticism.
>>7935108Oh I remember that.He even redrew it iircI honestly feel a little bad for the guy, every thing he did was exacerbated by the internet. But then again, he could never let anything go.I swear if that nigger could have just laughed at himself once in a while he wouldn't be the DSP of drawing
>>7935131nah brother you either have dementia or are twelve, the internet had been getting flooded by those at that point
>>7935040Millions even
>>7934938I don't even remember. Herd mentality? Hate him just because everyone else hated him? I don't know.
>>7935040you're coping too, she makes more than ten thousand from patreon alone, probably another ten thousand from her onlyfansBut I guess that makes people like you and that other anon feel insecure
>>7935029anon, he sees himself in dob. That's why he's getting super defensive over it.
>>7935131>If he made his garbage today he'd get thousands of updoots on reddit.and you would be of those that updooted as well, fag.
>>7935155>>7935198Damn she's living the dream. How do you even get that successful?
>>7935325Massive talent
>>7934938I used to comment on his stuff back in the deviant art days, and sometimes he'd respond. Personally I found virtually all of his comics to be painfully unfunny. Not just unfunny like you just shrug at it and move on, but unfunny in such a way that was just baffling. At best his comics were like the OP pic... the lowest of low hanging fruit and presented in the absolute least funny or creative way imaginable.
>>7934938It insists upon itself.
>>7934941The internet really was more tame if those were considered big controversies.
>>7935108>>7935139>>7935423True but in an era of boogie2988s and logan pauls, Dobbie is almost endearing and loveable.
>>7934938>no more obnoxious than any online griftfluencer you see todayAnd yet somehow annoyed literally everyoneMaybe drop the historical revisionism, everyone had beef with him.
>>7935557Everyone also used to be like 16, some of us grew up.
>>7934938>What did Dobson do that was so wrong that he was chased off the internet?Didn't he pretend to be a teenage black girl who drew lesbian inflation fetish porn on deviantart as his alter ego or was that someone else?
>>7935557>yet somehow annoyed literally everyoneBecause he was an easy target. Balding, short, conventionally unattractive cringey male who let the trolls bother him. Truth nuke: if he were beautiful, none of this would've happened.
For his time he really was a uniquely unlikeable and arrogant specimen but like a lot of old school lolcows it's hard to get amped up about their antics anymore due to how truly evil the average lolcow has become. If dobson were around today barely anyone would care, he'd be some nobody with no friends bitching into an endless void of people exactly like him.
>>7935569He was 30.>>7935602No, it was largely because he started shit with everyone.
>>7934974I don't support any of the a-logs still harassing him to this day, but you have to remember he emerged at a different time. The bar for internet freak was so different, we didn't have goonclowns and zoopedo cutsign cults yet.
>>7935694>He was 30.Your reading comprehension is impeccable
>>7934995But it is funny when you know the context
>>7934938Every few years a group of people gain an obsession into "Coaching" a low-mid tier artist into getting better and when they don't they use the excuse to form a mob against said artist. It's austists hating autists. There are thousands of low tier, retarded deviant art fetish, obese male feminists. He was just the most obvious target at the time because he kept feeding the troll mob.
>>7934941He sounds based tbqh
>>7934938Imagine being so fat you look at computers and see food
>>7936243Holy based
>>7934995Some people just don't comprehend culture.Kiwifarms and SA niggers would have an aneurysm if they learned that there are 241,499,431 Pakistanis who don't know who Hitler is. The number of people who care about who Dobson is is like twelve, and none of them understand how anyone else could possibly not think that it's among the most important things in life. And what if it's funny? It doesn't even need to be real to be funny.>>7934938Also in regards to the comic, I think that people who have accidents are self-destructive and have low consciousness. They cause accidents on purpose but can't perceive their decision process. You can predict their accidents better than they can by asking yourself if you would be thinking about what could go wrong and what the result of that would be given that you were in their situation, when it looks like they might get attention or validation after an accident they will probably have one. And they won't know why.The lines are too good for the level of appreciation he's going to get from the comic, so he's going to fuck it up on purpose to get sympathy instead, and that's the only logical reason why doing good work should result in him fucking everything up with intent. He just doesn't know that that's his thought process. What he has conscious access to is the excuse that prevents him from accurately perceiving himself as a retard psychopath who would destroy everything for pity.
