At least in the beginning when observational drawing is still a struggle.I don't have any proof of this but seeing other artists who are already good at this, it seems like drawing turns into easy mode once you can actually draw what you see and don't need tools or cheats anymore to copy something well.Maybe it's just survivorship bias: the people who actually enjoy drawing, and drawing seems easy to them, are the ones who copy well rather than the ability making drawing more enjoyable.I aim to prove that theory wrong. IN the meantime, I'll have to accept this setback.
