Bought a book. Tried to use 3d simple forms to construct it. Ended up looking and tracing the lines. >wonkly shapes>shaky lines>incorrect anglesToday is day 3 and it's getting worse. How do I fix it?
The reference
more practicewhen not drawing i recommend you deconstruct the shapes you see in real life using your mind's eye
>>7944890Here's the process:>grind out shapes that you're going to need to use (circles, triangles, a rectangle) and lines (you'll need Cs)>do blind contour drawings of the reference>take the reference and meaningfully trace it: break it down into shapes and forms>observe the reference, then put it away and draw from memory, then take it out and draw it again while looking at the reference>do a few gesture studies of the reference>do continuous line drawing as you trace it/do gesture studies/blind contours/draw from memoryKeep doing this until your drawings are as close to accurate as you can get.
>>7944890Draw from life if you don't have the self-discipline to prevent yourself from tracing
>>7944890Just keep drawing, you'll get better it takes time and you'll have good days and bad days. Just remember that even top level professional cs players usually only have a 40% win rate, and from that we can see even Mastery doesn't take away the ability to fail so just become more comfortable with failure and draw MORE MORE MOREIf you want specific advice based on what you posted I would suggest breaking the form down into basic shape and focus getting the spacing of those shapes correct, your forms are close to the right shape and size but a couple of them are a bit further than they should be
