>can practice and study and copy fine >Now it's time to make a drawing just for fun >...>Mind is completely blank >Can't think of a single thing to draw or where to even begin How do I become creative
>>7945194Why did you even learn to draw if there was nothing you wanted to drawI already had the scenes and characters that I wanted to draw in my mind years before I even considered learning to draw (writing was too boring)
>>7945199I have a few ideas but they've either already been done before or are all way above my skill level
>>7945205>they've either already been done beforeStupid. You think no one should have written about elves and dragons and dwarfs after Tolkien? And even Tolkien was only doing his own spin on myths. Originality doesn't matter, only execution.>all way above my skill levelThis is more understandable, but you're never gonna be able to do them if you don't try in the first place. Even if it looks like shit, you'll still improve.
>>7945194You probably are meant to just be illustrator. Illustrate other people's ideas. It's fine.
>>7945194Then begin with something more basic.Try to redraw or copy something, but change a few of their features like clothingOr try to draw a character but use an actual pose as referenceOver time you'll realise that drawing is just the above but you mix and match those features as you see fit
>>7945194it's very easy watch this OP
Try to recreate a study without reference for a quick fix. Drawing from imagination involves remembering formulas along with 3D Forms while trying to create interesting shapes and composition. I tend to make a small doodle then flesh it out when I'm out and about drawing from imagination, then when I reach the limits of my skill I go for reference.
Here's the real secret OP, ur just lazy>>7945254This is how easy it is
>>7945194draw what you see...if you don't want to draw what you see search on internet draw ideas. Simple as that.
>>7945254how does one just draw?
>>7945194>write a list of shit you think is cool>when stuck for art ideas refer to listor>read/watch/play media you like>draw characters, scenes, and items from said mediaor>draw ladies with big booba wearing small clothes>draw men with big muscles holding gun-swords
>>7945194Think of random things and squish them together.>potato>house>bird>fire>gun>sci-fiNow you've got a futuristic ship that looks like a potato with wings on its sides and has two giant flamethrowers.
>>7945205All stories and ideas are done. The only thing you can do is do them again with your own take. You won't learn to draw the hard stuff unless you actually practice drawing the hard stuff.
>>7945194These questions always drive me up the wall. There's a dozen and one way to come up with things to draw, but instead you post this dullard question.Grab a book, pick a random word from a random page, and use that as your prompt to draw something. There, now fuck off.
