Just did my first finished piece after about 4 weeks of practice. I’ve had a tonne of motivation and I have had spurts of drawing in the past. This time I want to produce some good stuff. I really like this cel shading style with heavy blacks and colours. Ohuhu markers are so satisfying. Anyone else doing trad work in marker? If I could get any feedback on ways to practice I’d appreciate that. I really love the cyberpunk aesthetic but I’ve never attempted to draw mechanics, that’s next on the docket. I’m 35 years old btw. I’d be glad to hear the stories of other people tradition art creation process and studio pics even. I do have a goal of entering a local annual art studio tour 14 months from now. I went on it last year and it’s entirely old women painting landscapes, one woman had some figures and bright colours in her paintings and they were by far the best. Funny how art value works, when I saw $500 on a sunset painting I cringed, but when I saw $1000 on a much smaller painting of two women under an umbrella I felt it was reasonable.
