how do you tell if you're /beg/ or not? Seems very subjective for a lot of people.

Maybe i'll get an idea.I wanted to give the elf intensely bronze /golden almost glowingskin which caused some issues which i couldnt fully resolve, at least not yet. I tryed it because it looked at a copious amount of darksun artwork.I tryed to combine a very barren enviroment where nothing grows..rocks. with a glowing hero (standing on barren rocks), and in the background (the shrubbery down below), a relatively calm place where life and enviroment is normal. Unremarkable to an extentI tought of it this way. Dont know if i succeded.Think of it like finishing a perileous journey, the ceremonyes , possibly even funerals, and now you just have to trek your way back home to your normal life.
I've been really apathetic about drawing/painting recently and I've been struggling with this painting to get a decent feeling sketch, but I messed with it today and came up with this and suddenly it's looking pretty good. Still lots to figure out but at least the general vibe is there.

>>7985694instead of moving to a completely different picture like the other guys are suggesting, i think your next steps should be make the hills and everything much whiter because the light is strong, bring down the value of the blue parts of the robe and up the saturation of the greens, bring down the value of the rocks on the right while keeping or raising the saturation, the rocks at her feet are complicated diy, the sword's top side of the blade should be reflecting so much light here but its not (and i really think you should be rotating it so that its dark, compositionally speaking), take the warms out of the thighs and carve out highlight shapes on the hair, face and metals, you also want to change the color of the shoes or the rocks i feel like, maybe you could have her standing on grass...
