Post a drawing (that you made) you're really proud of
Well? Post something, OPI recently got some Polish chicks, quite glad they're growing healthy and strong so I drew this
>>8004102Very proud of this one, it took months to finish
I like how this one turned outthere are plenty of mistakes in it, but incorporating background, pose and a bit of storytelling is my goal, and this felt like an inch closer to it
I made this for yesterday's Chroma Corps assignment. I didn't make it as a standout and didn't get many reactions but I had so much fun making it. I keep looking back at it and just staring at how nicely it came out>>8004202That is some beautiful linework, the hands and arms specially so. Very expressive, you can easily tell you love drawing
>>8004202I love this
>>8004102I'm really proud of this Coraline art I made based on the book.
if you saw my drawings you would easily be able to tell that i hate drawing, jej
>>8004443Cute!
>>8004207This is genuinely amazing
I drew these silly faces in krita, I know it's not technically impressive, but I find myself looking at them often.
I tried commenting on the other work here, but 4chan thinks i'm spamming, sorry for the inconvenience.

i don't have a piece i am proud of because no one is ever proud of mehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m9bSKblCCXE
>>8004501dont quote too many posts. i think 5+ is the spamfilter, because retard used to quote every post in a thread for a little attention
>>8004548Do you like drawing, do you think it's fun? what's something you've drawn that YOU like even if nobody else did or even cared?>>8004552awesome, how you managed to get both darks and shadows on what is presumably a black t-shirt is well played, great texture on the eyewells and beard.
>>8004554Thank you for the information, I remember it being possible but it's been some time since I've posted here in that way.
I almost never do anything but studies so I'm really just proud I finished a piece. Still not great but I think better than where I was a year or so ago at least
>>8004564congrats on finishing a piece. I've always been a sucker for those triangular air-hole greebles on mecha/armor designs, cool hair too.
>>8004564Yeah what the another anon said, good job on finishing a piece. It takes grit to do so
>>8004588nice work, I like how the (hoodie?) transitions into the black surrounding the halo, the negative space at the bottom, in my opinion, is a good compositional choice as the base of the first 'third' of the image is right at the eye-level of the subject.
>>8004558>how you managed to get both darks and shadows on what is presumably a black t-shirt is well playedyou press and rub the pencil so hard you can taste the graphite in the air
this and bottomless variant of thisstill using this as my wallpaper
>>8004485Thank you so much, I worked my ass off lol>>8004501Thanks a lot anon, I appreciate when others can see how hard I worked on a piece. It’s just ballpoint pen of different colors- but I wanna do something similar in colored pencil now that you mention it. >>8004552This is dope, I love your stuff >>8004564This is really cool, reminds me of ratchet and clank. I wish I made stuff this imaginative >>8004588Nice and simple, I like it >>8004638Cool use of colors. Reminds me of adventure time à bit
>>8004643stop with all the hugbox compliments

>>8004725Delicious

im proud of this one, not because its my best, but because it makes me smile
>>8004860i like how colorful it is
finished this a few days ago
I still like this one
>>8006095cool
>>8004102this was my peak..
>>8004102I've never drawn anything as good ever since
I like this one
And he was colored well for once.
>>8004707this is remarkable, great use of light.>>8004743Very striking, a lot of contrast achieved with the purples and the oranges.>>8004816this thing is genuinely unnerving, the light source being so low really adds to the creepy factor when it hits the forms.
>>8004102was a weird pose to draw>>8004419really professional looking, love it
>>8006095this is rad, well done. I see a bunch of capacitors, fuses, ide cables, switches and screens all embedded in blocky greebles, was this freehand or photobashed/etc.? It looks like a series of rectangles that were drawn in perspective and then garnished with the 80's tech motif.>>8006097I see this depraved mudkip in the animation thread every so often, you are capable of very expressive work with face, hands and body language. Are the messages in the back indicative of his environment, contributing to the apparent death spiral of addictive behavior? Or are they simply placeholders for what would otherwise be a busy background for an overstimulated viewer like myself (I'm the addict, surprise), labeled intentionally haphazard in a satirical way?
two month old /beg/Is it normal to think a drawing is fucking shit and you're doing everything wrong while you're making it but then a few days later you look back at it and like it?>>8004860This makes me nostalgic in a way I can't explain.
I still really like this. I rarely make anything finished enough to really show off to anyone.>>8006095Papeworthy. Man that's cool.>>8004419Fantastic work, very polished.>>8004202Fantastic work, very Polish.

>>8007043it's all handdrawn, taken from a bunch of sketches with a similar theme put together with the big cube in the center and the rest of the cables connecting them to guide the eye but yeah, non of the mechanical details make any sense at all lol, just tried to make them interesting to look at.Also if you use a low enough FOV when constructing forms u can put them all together on the same space and they kinda work>>8006098>>8007238ty, glad you liked it
>>8007933That tape and postit collage is super curious. Makes me wonder why you drew it there, what order it all happened, whether the tape was there for another purpose, what the surface is for, why were bits peeled away, etc. What kind of tape is it? Or is it a bandage? That's a marvelous way to keep your work intriguing.
>>8004102I feel i managed to make her look evil yet pretty.
>>8008004looks like she wants my cocke
>>8004102I am quite pleases with this
I was proud of this in high school.
>>8008201soul
>>8007981that's my working desk and that just masking tape, i really like the texture of the tape against the wood+ballpoint pen and i can keep adding strips or postits when i run out of space. i find it's a pressure free way to draw, even more so than sketchbooks cause i know i'll have to rip the tape out at some point and if i find i like some of the stuff i can polish it later on digital.
>>8008201lol I like this

>>8008332I think it would be a pity to digitize it. (That is, in a way that keeps the lines but loses the process.) Sorry, not meaning to make your work less pressure-free, through.

>>8004220Holy fug, how long did this take to draw? The pen work is so super detailed.
>>8008201>high school>1983Yoinks.How is your art these days?
>>8011854About 300 hours over 3 months. A month for the penciling alone. It's poster sized,24" by 48",and was made as an act of defiance. A manager the exact clone of the boss in the Incredibles banished my coworkers and I from the workplace and suddenly I had a new commute that ate up all my free time, so I poured my outrage into creating this work. The scene I did before as a whim worth realizing, and the situation was to be the cover of Issue Zero of my comic,a 64 page mini story preceding the 20 pages per Issue graphic novel.
>>8011898Years of setbacks, but the latest setback resolves itself Thursday morning. It's all been a time management puzzle : >(Time to Draw) + (Availability of Marijuana × RND(Grade/Potency) = 1-3 hours of artistic outputMy wife was sick and out of work all last year, and no time to draw nor money for Marijuana to inspire me. But here is one of my latest. I am inking the pencil drawings so I can go get them properly scanned to work in Photoshop. Lately I've been doing large scale works in pencil, composed at the whimsy of my after-work reward of Franken-bud. But I do have a game plan, but the time to put the parts in place elude me. And Thursday will narrow the parameters of what Free Time means.
>>8011904>About 300 hours over 3 months.Wow. What is the appeal for you to draw like this? I could never, I would go insane. How do you avoid ink smudges? Just taking it slowly? I would also be worried your palm would heat things up and smudge even dry stuff.>>8011915Oh are you also the fine ink guy who posted this? >>8011904Was gonna say your art with furry girls feels very "classic furry" era of the 80s and 90s, like it came out of a fanzie. Not many people render fur in great detail anymore.>but the latest setback resolves itself Thursday morning>And Thursday will narrow the parameters of what Free Time means. Please don't kill your boss anon. I don't think drawing from prison will help you.
>>8011938I'm still coming to grips with my rendering, having only so much time to experiment, and what I have made so far has been educational. This was a whim,a sketch of a moment from a story I wrote for 180 strips before Covid ate it,and I tucked a background around it,forcing myself to imagine a structure I drew once in a sideways view at a headlong one.
>>8011992Robert Crumb type feel. You need a bit of a better camera as it feels out of focus in a few areas.Do you have any gallery to see more of your stuff?
>>8011915Every time I see that drawing, her design stays in my head, pretty nice and effective appeal factor. Like that other anon said, classic 80s vibes, pretty cool. I had to do some quick fanart of her.
This is pretty basic but I still like it.
Been a while since I've drawn dinosaurs so I really liked doing this one
This is my second finished piece. Completed a few days ago.
>>8012047And here’s one I finished last night. Previous took around a week and this one took ~3 days. Thought about putting in as much effort as the previous one but something inside told to me just be done with it and move on.
Every drawing I do.Till the next one, then I'm disgusted by it
>>8009691Think about texture when you start. For things like skin, follow contour. For her leggings I went basic diagonals, up down, left right, to get that mesh look. Learn when to stop adding lines. Thats all that comes to mind.
>>8012471Here's another one.
>>8004102Ok
>>8012038Love the figures, particularly the fella with the standard. Handsome work.
>>8012038Cool exodites. There is hoping that GW will expand the range now that they released the exodite kill team.
>>8004102This was a study I did ~2 yrs ago, based off 2 screenshots from a chinese drama I enjoyed at the time. Dithering achieved via brushes (https://flamingteddy.itch.io/dithering-brushes-for-painttoolsai) not pixel by pixel. I've done many other things in this nebulously PC98 inspired style (mainly color limits, dithering, sometimes resolution) before and since then, but this one remains my favorite
>>8011999https://www.deviantart.com/jeremeyprickles/galleryLots of old stuff there, and a few of the Snowglobe strips. My newer stuff is in the Drug and psychedelic threads. Soonish,I will scan all these new ones properly and make a thread for them. Until then,I am inking some pencil drawings, and this is the one presently under my black gel ink pen.
>>8012009Wonderful! (And until I read the words of your post,I honestly didn't pay attention to it. " Another damn furry! :D. )I have a bunch of storyboards for an adult comic set in my ficdom. Cassandra and the Professor a wine cellar with mugs that look like my ex roommate so they are drinking from his skull. The topic turns to "spark keepers",anthromorph slave girls gifted to pubescent human boys in affluent families to tend the spark of budding manhood,to be ground zero for his hormonal explosion. I have devoted a few of my recent efforts to different viewpoints of the conversation just to visualize the scene. The characters have intellectual common interests, a mild flirtation and a professional rivalry that overlap frequently in the bonds of their friendship. Something to draw, familiar characters to render and embellish, each stroke of pencil and pen a dare to get it "gud". I want to return to making comics eventually, but these full page drawings will make them better once I set up shop for comic manufacturing. Projects teach more than art books can, because seeing them to fruition teaches more than technique.
>>8012036Cute:)
>>8012480Are you still here?
>>8012532THANK YOU ANON! Glad you liked it. That pic gave me an idea, and I had to draw it pretty quick. he he."Sparks keepers" huh... interesting... sounds like those "initiation rituals" in ancient cultures.
>>8012664why?
>>8012680I apologize for asking outside of the original board, but I don't know if you're lurking there atm and I was surprised to catch you here. I am still hoping you can post the original size PNGs of that one elf drawing you did, since you had to shrink them to get past the file post limit on 4chan:https://desuarchive.org/tg/thread/98287531/#98415778https://desuarchive.org/tg/thread/98205757/#98217728Some temp hosts...https://litterbox.catbox.moe/ (make 1 day at least)https://temp-image.com/ (make 1 day at least)If you're not keen on having stuff posted outside of 4chan, even temporarily, then I'd at least like the full sized nude .JPG, which I would have received in the first place had I not inquired about the PNG copies initially.
>>8012831This is the most mentally ill shit I've seen in a while
im a simple guy
>>8012897zoe
>>8012875I hope you're not the artist in question saying that. I've never had an issue with asking for higher quality copies before, I'm simply asking for them to post files.>>8012897Nice bird drawing.
>>8012666More of an excuse to world build. What if slavery in America was still going on,and the slave model of Rome became the establishment for dealing with "subhuman species",which is whoever got conquered by them last week. In the bulk of my writing about Cassandra and Jeremey Prickles, the stories are set a decade after the war for anthromorph emancipation was achieved. In this story,I get to think up what the world was like for the Professor as an Abolishionist navigating a world with ingrained institutions that we cannot accept as rational humans today.
>>8012666I drew it in a Comic Diary, something to encourage the unartistic to document moments of their lives. I never seriously thought about the times slavery was a normal condition, and it presented the added challenge of stuffing the narrative into pre rendered Comic panels. But as much fun as it was trying to write situations reflecting this perspective, like Tolkien elves and their current actions steered by millennia of existence,it shows its flaws immediately. Chicken scratch art,if its objective is to block out a scene, can be accepted, but not indecipherable lettering.
I had thought to layer word balloons in post production, leaving the art to encompass the whole panel. But I abandoned it anyway, realizing that I had little time to draw and my efforts should be focused on more productive lines, like tshirt design.
>>8012509>jeremeypricklesWhat in heck, I just saw mention of this name on another board recently in a drawing thread. Was that you?
>>8013088>>8013102Wow, thank you so much anon, for all the insight into your world. I understand your plight, I used to be addicted to fan-fiction in the late 2000's I was still a brat tho, but I filled entire notebooks with stories hoping to make visual novels out of them "one day". Of course the "day" never came, lol, and just like you, I tried to make comics using trad media wich resulted literally impossible. I don't know how you do those pages full of details, I would lose my mind doing that. Just recently I started doing these simple comics, just to have fun making stories. To me is the only doable way. It took me a year to get used to the digital tablet, but it worked pretty well for me, I can do these pretty fast now. I imagine that someone with your artistic resilience could do miracles with a digital tablet. Maybe you could try it, and discover a great new tool for your work.I still have that fan-fiction addiction, so I spend 12 hours yesterday doing a "non-canon" fanfic script about your "Spark Keepers" topic. I have the whole story with the ending written down... as you know, I became an irremediable coomer, so this story is going to be NSFW at the end. I'll have to try to censor the art because of the rules regarding furr, but, I really want to do this story. I hope you don't mind. I have only one question though: is the name of the professor,"Milo"? He looks like a Milo.
>>8013633Professor Milo Pandochan. Dunno where "Pandochan" came from. He ain't Asiatic. I guess I liked how it sounded. His father was Court Technician who mysteriously disappeared after seeing his 4 year old motherless son into a gadgeteer at the age of 12, and seeing an anthromorph friend die before his eyes, resolved to become a doctor. Dexter and Doogie Hauser. The Plot of the story is that after graduation, Milo is invited to the mansion of a famous artist, the uncle of a classmate who has a harem of strays both human maids and anthromorph slave girls that need stud services, and Milo engages in Hijinx and Tomfoolery. And I was still considering just how raunchy things would get, and let the situation write itself. Getting a feel for the characters and their look, speech patterns, thought patterns and inserting foreshadowing in places when I have thought of stuff to foreshadow. In this strip,he (and I) are working through what to do with three sentient females given as gifts to him. A laughable idea now,but historically all too common, so I need to think in Milo's head for his response.
>>8013633My methodology for creating comics is Photoshop Legerdermain, where I would draw what was necessary for the panel and scan the raw art and process them into bits I can confine to their own layers, recycling imagery like backgrounds and props to speed production time. And I did 6 of these before life forced me away from the computer and I found myself in waiting rooms with too much free time. I brought a new sketchbook to pass the time. I drew a demon head, and tried to explain it in Jeremey Prickles' world. Then another character, then a situation involving a known third, then a second strip exploring the story, then a third...And that became my Story for the next decade.
not a drawing, but I made this during my vacation in Brittany and had a blast. It's cool sometimes to dabble in mediums you don't normally use.
>>8004102Most proud of this piece
>>8013460Probably. I dispense useless advice to deaf ears in /r9k/ and occasionally /lit/.
>>8013633>I still have that fan-fiction addictionThis is interesting to me. Do you mind explaining that a little bit?

>>8013766Really cool
>>8013633 >>PAGE 2 Done. Page 3 almost done.>>8013689DAMN!!!! Your sexy story is WAY more naughty than mine! lol! In my history there's only one girl for one night..."Milo Pandochan" huh, good to know..>>8013887>This is interesting to me. Do you mind explaining that a little bit?Creating all the time in your head stories about anything you come across, I have that issue. If I don't like the ending of a movie, or a dialogue in a movie, I re-do it in my head, and I write it down later. lol.Obscure artists in sites like these, with storytelling styles are a treasure to me, because I can give them something special to them who have a passion about something they created. I have a whole bunch of unfinished projects that I do for random anons here, because I keep coming across stuff like this and getting my mind hijacked by stories that I need to write down and, if possible, put into images. Maybe past tomorrow I'll drop this and leave it unfinished for another random story. I was doing the elves story in /beg/ but now this is more important because I love the story that I wrote about it, same as I loved the elves story... But here I am. That's an addiction behavior.
This isn't much, but it was the first time in my life I actually spent time developing an idea into an illustration put the work into finishing it over the course of a week. I'm used to giving up on things so it's nice to have some kind of win to chalk up.
>>8014609Not much difference, bit that one's actually a slightly less finished WIP
>>8014589 >>PAGE3 done.>>8013698I see, VERY soulful and beautiful final result!
deck 1 of 12 WIP for my covenant light cruiser (1,000.05 meters long).learning how to do curved hallways and diagonal doors. very happy with what i have so far.
did this a couple weeks ago
>>8011904How I approached inking the poster sized version was to work from the inside outward,so I would be leaning on blue pencil and cover the archways and vaulted ceiling, then I did the bottom half with the figures and floor. The time I had to draw was swallowed by a new commute, and that's why it took 3 months. And trying to render with a dipped quill was new ground for me on such a scale. I have done Radiation Saves with India ink and quills, and a few others, but I was intent on making this my act of defiance for a cruel and difficult world. It forced me to strategize my actions to accomplish this. Tracing paper to approximate where the other half of the ceiling should go, and afterwards to flip the statues. The final touch was painting the energy blast then outlining it, something that I will do on my latest version of this : Fight the Good Fight.
>>8013102I apologize for polluting this nice thread with such eyesores but it has inspired someone. I'm proud of conceiving it,and as notes to myself that eventually will be Photoshopped into proper form. Follow the story if you can decipher the heiroglyphics.
>>8004102I really like this one. It's pretty simple and has some flaws, but I still like how it came out. Maybe the fact I actually enjoyed making it helps too.
