Edinburgh has one nice street and the rest gets absolutely mogged by London's many Georgian terraces and squares.
>>
>>214324919
Kraków, Prague, Budapest, Strasburg, Vienna, Porto, Bologna

Just to name a few but yes Edinburgh is beautiful in the centere

Edinburgh is the prettiest city in the UK, no doubt.

But in Europe as a whole there is a Lot more competition, including from:

Lisbon (POR)
Seville (SPA)
Cordoba (SPA)
Girona (SPA)
Strasbourg (FRA)
Toulouse (FRA)
Bordeaux (FRA)
Aix-en-Provence (FRA)
Ghent (BEL)
Bruges (BEL)
Amsterdam (NED)
Ultrecth (NED)
Nuremberg (GER)
Bern (SWI)
Vienna (AUS)
Turin (ITA)
Venice (ITA)
Bologna (ITA)
Florence (ITA)
Siena (ITA)
Ljubljana (SLO)
Prague (CZE)
Krakow (POL)
Gdansk (POL)
Copenhagen (DEN)
Stockholm (SWE)
Tallinn (EST)
Saint-Petersburg (RUS)

It is difficult because the list is too long. Grok, vibe code for me a list:

10 IF not Edinburg GOTO 20
20 INPUT "Enter any city name past and present or even fictional"; NAME$
30 PRINT NAME$
40 END

Edinburgh sucks because I got there at like 2330 on the last train with no phone battery and all of a sudden had to start lugging my bags up 50 flights of stairs. I can't even climb stairs at home, but Edinburgh has no alternative - very ADA noncompliant city, hostile to those with disabilities
>>214325369
Needs more trees and vines to complete the pripyat look

You proved my point. It looks fine from this angle, but nothing I'd save to my archives.
>>214325369
The stairwell here is perfectly placed, the (ventilation towers?) on the roof have much more prominence, if you don't zoom in, the base of the bridge columns and the floor behind it are invisible, which adds a nice gap for the imagination to work in (the concept of a building passing though the ground level and holding a sunken courtyard is nice, but the execution in >>214328330 is hardly awe-inspiring), obviously the greenery is replaced with minecraft grass blocks. Additionally, I'm not a fan of the thick black window frames, which are obscured by the lightning somewhat in the first pic, and, what first intrigued me (the turquoise rubber walkway, is not only no longer reminiscent of a river passing under a bridge (waterfall leading to sunken courtyard?), but missing altogether.
The saving grace of that dezeen shovelware in >>214328330 is the tastefully rounded space under the stairway
.
Bugger off!

those are two different bridges and two different buildings, bud. not the same building at different times from different angles

York, Oxford, Cambridge, and Bath are all better. There are likely others, but I'm only going to include cities I've visited.
Edinburgh is merely ok
