senagal and gambia are shitholes and you can see people living in the pastthough there's a small strip meant for tourism which is nice but not enough to live

>>214432858Yes. Was in uganda, drc and rwanda this year for about 3 weeks. Was mainly hiking. Nothing special happened except these>the porters were scared shitless of me because they thiught whites become white after eating peoples souls>on my way back stumbled upon a few armed poachers. They bolted away and the ranger who was with me starting running after themI want to climb kilimanjaro but im too poor. Ascents are like 2000 to 4000 euros
>>214433401>uganda, drc and rwanda wanted to visit there to watch the gorillas but its on my bucket list>I want to climb kilimanjaro but im too poor. Ascents are like 2000 to 4000 eurosi climbed like 7 years back for 3.5k USD and it was a nice experience and i cannot hike anymore as it gave me some chronic knee painjust do an ultracheap 4 day hike if you are /fit
>>214433229When we were being escorted from the airport to the hotel we travelled in a sort of “disguised” bus that didn’t draw as much attention as an airport shuttle or tourist bus. Any vehicle we went in did not stop at traffic lights so as to avoid potential carjackings. Closest thing to an incident was a guy who followed us, particularly my mother, around for a little under a day. He kept staring and would try and get close before backing off if we made eye contact before eventually giving up, likely was trying to steal something.
>>214433526How the fuck do South Africans live like that
>>214433498Ignore the flag change. I work in belgium.Nigga imnot rich like you i am a poor wagie stuck in a dead end job.I cant put 3500 usd just for 8 daus of hiking.Hell my entire trip, guards porters , flights, included barely costed me 2000 bucks in totalI think ill just do another mountain in tanzania or cameroon

>>214432858really curious about this. mainly renting a 4x4 and just heading into nowhere namibia and botswana. it seems pretty safe, just expensive af. my dream is to drive there and back thats not so safe but many do it all the time.
>>214433791Still i cant afford to put nearly 4000 bucks in some hike. How rich are you>europoids can open their windows and see beautiful alps and dolomites but want to travel 10 hours away risking killed by ngubu the masai warriorYeah the alps are ugly af, devoid of nature and absolutely packed with tourists, im not wastin my money in these shitholes. Id rather spend 2 weeks hiking in an afromontane forestid Pick nepal over the alpoops or doloshits but i have neither the time nor money to do a teahouse trek>>214433843I had a ranger. I just crossed from congo into m23 territory, i stayed in the mountains and forest so they didnt bother me
>>214432858Yeah. Capetown is nice and a third of it is litterally middle class anglo suburbia with a nice backdrop, a third is literal thunderdome no cops free for all and a third in betweenI went to tanzania is a kid too. It was crazy the water at the beach was full on 30 degrees like a bath. There was a reef but the local kepts fucking it up by going dyanmite fishing where they'd just fucking drop dynamite on it and then collect all the fish which floated to the surface after they got killedZanzibar was also cool but you needed to wear shoes or hookworms would burrow into your feet or some shit
>>214433826there's no dual citizenship and you'd have to renounce one or the another>>214434007shudve gotten into shitcoins in 2016ive done everest as well and its much cheaper and nepal is a nice mongering placedo the sapa trek/ho giang loop in vietnam avoiding rainfall season
>>214434122In 2016 i had exactly 50 euros to my nameSorry i wasnt born in a bilionaire tata group family
>>214434122Thanks for the recs ill try when i quit my job. The issue with nepal is that most places require special permits on top of a guide and those are insanely expensive
