Being French I'm obviously biased since we are neighbors and most French know about tortilla, jamón and tapas, but you will almost never find a Spanish restaurant here. Same when I was in Asia, you will find South-American restaurants, especially Tex-mex stuff, but rarely distinctively Spanish.
