well you know what i took a look at the photos of me and that's kind of obvious i'm kind of manchurian or something(my homeland is dauria and my classmate once told me his grandma told him i'm manchu) except EVERYONE in my family is russian. mother's line has surname which literally translates as "Lithuanian". father's line - everyone looks like russian serfs EXCEPT MY GRANDMA which is CLEARLY kazakh or something but ALL THE TIME i'm asking her, she always answers "Nah we're russians. What they did was they were sending children of nomadic indigenous people's to schools in the cities and those kids would lose skills needed to live their traditional lifestyle and would instead come to the city and work on a factory or some shit. Fun fact no ethic Russian was involved in making these decisions
