Did commies commit any crimes against your cultural heritage in your country? In Germany the Paulinerkirche in Leipzig survived WW2 undamaged but the commies blew it up in 1968 and replaced it with the building at the bottom.
>>214612609Yes, tons of it.They have also wanted to destroy the picrel. Nearly 40 thousand churches were destroyed by the Soviets. And that's churches alone, many other historical architecture was blown up too.
>>214612609NKVD rigged the central part of Kyiv with delayed explosives' in 1941, in hopes that they would kill German staff living there. They largely destroyed the most beautiful part of the city.
>>214612609Unrelated to your subject but I'm not fan of how they rebuilt the interior of the Paulskirche in Frankfurt am Main. The current hall is a far cry from what it once was.
>>214612609funnily enough, it was commies who decided to rebuild our historical old towns from ruins after WW2, even though it was totally uneconomical and contrarian to communist ideology. But they hoped that's how they could win popular support which was very low in Poland. Sometimes they would even "rebuild" them more beautiful than they were in real life before WW2. I think it was possible because Stalin himself was an admirer of "beautiful architecture" and he accepted it, or at least didn't protest against it. But that only lasted until 1956, when Khrushchev's bland modernism took over the USSR, it also changed urbanism here and commies had been only built gray commieblocks ever since.
Compare this empty and white hall to this.>>214612755Why did it survive? Was it just too prominent and popular to be demolished?
>>214612911Germans weren't any better, for example they blew up a large part of Breslau (THEIR city) just to make room for an ad hoc airport and runway (they needed to blow up 1.5 km of rows of beautiful houses for that), so ONLY ONE plane could fly from there - to evacuate the local gauleiter (who was killed by Czech partisans a moment after landing anyway)
>>214613057Stalin ordered to preserve it.
>>214612609there wasn't anything left by the time commies came here
>>214613121the runway was here, everything in pic rel was demolished
>>214612609Favstian af
>>214612609Russians and soviets demolished almost all architecture associated with non european architecture in southern Kazakhstan. They even completely vanished some cities
>>214613734why they did that in Kazakhstan but not in Uzbekistan then? Why is old Samarkanda still in good shape?
>>214613783They really hated us and worshipped uzbeks
>>214613783Because there were never significant cities and architecture in Kazakhstan, but nowadays they're being taught false narratives.
>>214613897interesting, didn't know thatdo you still hate Uzbeks because of that?
>>214613920Yeah, we are so brainwashed by the west or something.
>>214613999Welp, I don't see it's blown up by Soviets.>Until recently it was believed that Saray-Jük was founded by Batu Khan, a khan (king) of Mongol Empire, but archaeological excavations suggest that the city could have been founded as early as the 10th or 11th century.[1] By the 13th century Saray-Jük became an important trade center,[1] and was one of the biggest cities of the Golden Horde (Golden Palace).> In 1580 or 1581,[3] it was ruined by "thief Cossacks"—that is, Cossacks uncontrolled by the Russian government.

>>214614109>Russians and soviets demolished almost all architecture associated with non european architecture in southern KazakhstanThere wasn't straight demolishing in your examples. It wasn't done by Soviets. Can you provide an example where Russian government or Soviets by plan demolished some historical cities and architecture in your country?
>>214612609The church would be empty and abandoned now anyway.Instead, you've got additional housing for people to actually use.It sucks to lose a pretty building but cities can't be forever contained, progress has to be made somewhere.
>>214614161I have russian fatigue from your threads
>>214614247So you have no examples?
>>214612609based commies. will those neoclassical-baroque buildings house the working class? no? then away with them!
>>214614293>will those neoclassical-baroque buildings house the working class?why not? in 19th century they literally did
>>214614174>The church would be empty and abandoned now anyway.that's a legit question, here they still keep building new churches despite the new generations becoming more and more secular, it makes me butthurt how much money they squeeze out of poor grannies who will even resign from eating a dinner just to donate to building a church, that will be most likely empty and demolished within 2 generations max.
>>214613057>Was it just too prominent and popular to be demolished?yes
>>214612609>>214614174>>214614293This is LOTR scenario if orcs could infiltrate non-orcs the portoguese and the australian flags. Its an expansion of mordor and the two orcs shilling for it. Its the same with the brick favelas in UK, why was the only one getting absolutely depressed in that shithole? Because I was surrounded by orcs who were absolutely content in their orc brick favela and their dream scenario was not to get out of the brick favela, but to expand it.My life is like the 1996 matilda movie but without the telekinetic powers and a good ending where an elf rescues me from orcs and Im done pretending otherwise. Genocide all orcs now.
>>214616002Schizo shit.
>>214616002athens is literally mordor
>>214616224I have beat the shit out of your orc cousins in UK and it felt gooooooood.
>>214612609Why the fuck was the ussr so blatantly cartoonishly evil
>>214616240Your dream scenario right?
>>214616303look, I get that you were raised in an eyesoric shithole and that led you to overcompensate by shunning all forms of modernist aesthetic, but that doesn't mean I have to think the same way nor that you are more right.
>>214616740>all those nonsense words to avoid saying "yes"I will slaughter you orc.
>>214613180Wtf i love Stalin now???
>>214612609do you have any interior shots of the building in the bottom half of the pic?
They rebuilt most of Klaipėda (formerly Memel) which was completely nuked. What they could rebuild or had documents and photos of how it looked was in the traditional style (pic related, German architecture, soviet materials). What they couldn't they ploped commieblocks due to the massive housing shortage.
>>214612609Why don't you guys demolish that ugly pos and build something cool instead?
>>214612609Not commies, but drug addicts destroyed one of the most beautiful pieces of Peruvian pre-Hispanic art for money. They could have made way more money by selling it on the black market and fleeing the country, but if they were that smart, they wouldn’t have been drug addicts in the first place.
Yes, the bolsheviks removed this beautiful column but we got it back just recently.
