I had insomnia and sleep problems a few months ago but I decided to not take any medications. It's rough man I thought I was going to die or something.
Although there's still days of pure insomnia horror the only thing that worked for me is going bed at the same hour every day

i sleep like a baby every night, only thing that annoys me is hearing my femoid neighbors returning home from parties, makes me seethe so hard i need a ciggie break instantly despite it being at 1, 2, or 3 am. otherwise im good
