How is life in New York unironically? I read lots of hate and dislike. I've visited twice and fell in love. Especially once you leave the touristy areas and take long walks along Brooklyn Heights, etc. Lots of historic beautiful buildings, very kind people (most of times), best food I had in my life and it feels so alive yet you can find quiet benches to relax everywhere. Also lots of green, nice parks, etc. Ever since I'm dreaming of moving there. Being from EUSSR obviously I'm worried of the healthcare, like losing everything because I get sick. Or getting robbed, shot, etc. you know the drill. I still want to believe that it's worth the risk. Being an German engineer I don't think I would have any difficulties landing a good job there. And of course life is pretty and comfy in Germany, it's also veeery stale. You notice that the majority of people accepted the decline of quality and that everything turns shit and so is their mentality. You can never make it here, you can take safe walks but all you see is artifical nature, leased Scodas driving around, people not greeting back, KfW efficiency houses in white with dark blue/grey roofs and that's your whole life.
