Usually I watch everything with French dubs, audio French. But sometimes I like to have challenge and I watch in English original version with French subtitles and I noticed something. To me like to me :- Americans speaks like Americans *- Anglo Canadians speak like Americans, I think it's because the geography, they are neighbors.- French Canadians has this peasant American accent- English, Irish and Scott speak the same BUT I notice a big difference with American despite I don't understand oral English.- Australians speak like Americans*The only thing which was different to me for USA, was in the TV series Supernatural. The guy who replaces Lucifer (Not Crowley) has a very good accent, not from UK. It's very special and I love it.It's American, I think, but different, I don't know. I think all Americans must speak like him especially during international meetings. It's very fucking good. Examples :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJNov2oCGrghttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zb8XQHPRmPEIt's different than the others Americans who speak in the show. Don't know if it is a manner or an accent from somewhere
>>214636304I saw in the comments of the second video that it's about plantation so I imagine he has a southern accent then. I don't know why I like it, maybe because the French were in the south and it's ultimately an accent that has a French origin.
>>214636304how the fuck can people watch dubbed anything. i hate that it's done here in germany as well but I i hate it. doesn't make sense and it ruins the experience, feels so unnatural watching something in a language that's not original
>>214637255>tf>tpFrance is like Germany for this, normally.I watch dubbed since I was early kid so I accustomed. In Germany everything is dubbed like France from what I understand, so why you act like this ?
>>214636304Our accent and vocabulary is closer to southeast England more than anything else outside of the Antipodes
>>214637333yes it is and I hate it, that's what im saying.
>>214637255My dick is more hard when I hear German dub than original English voices. What do now ?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JtfDbQlqvXQ
>>214637397do you have a feminine dick ?
>>214636304Why can't you understand spoken English, matey?
>>214637454Completely the opposite. Full hetero and manly. All Western Europeans who have blood from the ancient Germanic tribes of antiquity (French for Franks) are bound to love this speech. It awakens our martial side. I wish Macron would give a speech like this.
>>214637489It's difficult to understand spoken language except for simple sentences like "What's your name, my name is."I generally like the English accent more overall, so full UK, it's the same for me.But this special American accent does something to me. As mentioned in the second video, it's about plantations, so it must be a very characteristic Southern accent.
Dubbed movies are inferior to the original, its very obvious to anyone able to watch both. Voices dont match, theres less subtlety to the performances and dialogue, and it takes you out of the movie to hear the same actor you've heard dubbing other actors.Animation movies however are quite frankly often better dubbed, if only because professionnal voice actors are better than hollywood actors at acting with just their voice
>>214637952What about video games if you play ?
>>214638010I do not, but from what I understand there's less regular actors and more voice actors for american games compared to american animation movies, so it must be case by case, with the original version being better more often because translation always takes a bit away from a text
>>214637255Damn you might be the only German with that opinion.I even heard about some Germans that watched the Netflix series “Dark” (a German show) dubbed in English. Which made no fucking sense to me.
