Notice the double standards in the classification. In Europe or in Asia the requirements for being called a Kingdom or Empire were rather straightforward. But when it concerns the Americas or Africa it suddenly starts to be used very easily. A mud hut next to a jungle would be enough to call it a kingdom, or having some temples in an area that would a middle sized square at best in Europe would be enough to call it an empire capital. It's all so tiresome...
