For some reason people always think I’m from wherever I am. I’m a blonde hair, brown eye euromutt, mostly English and Scandinavian, but Corsicans have spoken to me in local dialect while I have a backpack on like a tourist, Japanese people have asked me for directions, Indians think I look Indian, some Scottish guys accosted me thinking I was a local Frenchman. Maybe it’s because I don’t seem excited to be on vacation, I don’t know.
