did you know this expansion to WoW generated uncontrollable seethe among white Americans and Euros when it came out 15 years ago because it had an Eastern theme? I've never played WoW and just found out.
>>
ive always played wow and i just found out
>>
>>214653531
The best wow expansion btw.
White people are such self-centered flags, they think the world revolves around them and EVERYTHING had to be around them, these attention whores cannot let the spotlight slip for one second.
>>
I was too busy playing Lineage II in my cunt
>>
>>214653531
I was one of the seething ones and I was right, it was trash for newfags who started wow around wotlk

But enough about Chinese people.

I remember this being very cozy. The new world felt mysterious and fun to explore. Soundtrack was great.

Is anyone playing MoP Classic? I'm hearing it's dead compared to previous classic expansions.
>>
>>214655672
I think people really need to give WOW a fucking rest. It’s not the 2000s anymore. I think small private servers of defunct MMOs that are run by hobbyists can be still fun (Phantasy Star Online, Warhammer, Asheron’s call, DAOC, etc)
>>
>>214653531
mop was alright and there wasnt sethee anywhere else but in america. okay i was seething because i felt like wow got disneyfied also that both factions could play them was shit. that blizz wanted to cater to the chink market is a given nobody cares about that except americans
>>
>>214656408
The whole Warcraft universe is basically the result of Warhammer being disneyfied.

Of course, retail is way worse now. Now it’s World of Peace and Tolerance for gay babies. Instead of raiding and pvp, you just collect virtual pets and discuss your feelings and how toxic masculinity marginalizes minorities

i will never get over it

You’re not missing much. If you want the experience, play Turtle Wow I guess.

Don’t you guys have Tibia?

btw, did WoW even have an Afro-Arabic expansion?
>>
>>214656641
once a year i get the urge to play wow again like really bad (played wotlk when it was released) but retail, thats not even wow anymore it looks like a sims rpg. im not against graphical evolvement they litteraly could have done a split 15 years ago like runescape did. but i assume that the share holders that knows shit about gaming didnt want that. fuck blizzard it used to be the gaming company for me i dont care that they have came out with a d2 remastered like 25 years after the game itself was released. let the shit burn to the ground. its too late, its terminal, nothing left to do
>>
>>214653531
WotLK was the last expansion I really played. Only tried Cata when I got 7 or 10 free days, subscribed for a few months, barely played, and unsubbed before reaching the end game.
>>
>>214657388
Private servers are superior to whatever Blizzard puts out. You really have only three options:
>Turtle WoW
Most successful but just got hit by a nasty lawsuit and may go down like Nostalrius
>Warmane
Wotlk client
>Project Ascension
Make your own class
>>
>>214657132
Based gw chad were you a mesmer main
>>
>>214658226
I remember being pissed when Cata dropped but MOP just felt like the final nail in the coffin. Pandas were just a fucking Easter egg/joke in Warcraft. How the living fuck did they get an expansion?
>>
>>214658295
Do people even still play GW1?
>>
>>214658362
Yeah I do when theres events

I was a Runescape guy (and a little bit of Dofus) in the 2000s so I missed out on WoW.
>>
>>214658268
im 30 i dont have endless time to put burn let alone on a private server that can get nuked at any time. good that they exist for others
>>
>>214653531
pretty sure the main "issue" was the fact that you can play as a fucking panda
>>
>>214656923
yea, i used to play Tibia, but it's not the same

It's not the Eastern theme that got people upset but how different the overall theme felt from Warcraft universe, which at the time was still considered a dark universe. There's probably a very good reason why they went back to the grimdark stuff with the succeeding expansions. From a gameplay perspective the expansion was great (doubly so compared to WoD and Legion) but its narrative is hard to take seriously when you have kung fu pandas and rats ruining Chen's beer business.
>>
I was a Runescaper
>>
>>214653531
I liked Pandas. It was even stupider what they did to Garrosh.

>Uhuhuhmm nuking your enemy is le bad
>>
>>214659638
run and escape? that my mom said back in 2004 when i wanted her to help me make a friend on rs on the old home computer but i didnt know english back then. haha bless that woman its hillarious for me to think back on it
>>
>>214653531
>did you know this expansion to WoW generated uncontrollable seethe
pretty much every expansion did kek
it was my second favourite behind tbc. didnt care that it was casual, cleared everything, had so much fun hogging all the dungeon realm firsts on a shitty realm with my friends
>>
I wish I knew some MMOs that are popular with frogs other than Dofus
>>
>>214660395
muonline
>>
>>214653531
nothing beats WoW classic, and it's back in 2008. Wow's been shit since then
>>
>>214660437
What’s it with Koreans churning out mmo after mmo?

I heard Lineage II was pretty fun back in the day. The only Korean MMO I played was some shit called rappelz
>>
>>214660500
but that was online back in 08 afaik you couldnt leave the starting area if you didnt have a set of victoria secret vings lol
>>
>>214658623
yeah good thing your time put in retail is totally honored on a new expansion release and really matters
>>
>>214653531
It was the last relatively good expansion. WoW died after that.
Well, Legion wasn't too bad too probably, but still.
>>
>>214653531
idk why it did but it made me seethe to no end
>>
>>214661471
Let’s be realistic: WOW died after Wotlk. The 2010s were the beginning of the end for mmos
>>
>>214653531
it just sucked and was gay
killed WoW
>>
>>214653531
Did it?
>>214654123
No, it was good, but the best one was WotLK, maybe BC.
>>
>>214655804
You're right, they should be coming up with new games around that warcraft universe. That would be really fucking cool. I won't ever forgive Blizzard for sending IceFrog away. We could have a DotA 2 that had all warcraft heroes. I hate how fucking stupid executives can be.
>>
>>214653531
Not the East Asian theme, the pandas. This expansion fundamentally changed the tone of Warcraft forever. The joke easter egg race became the main focus.
>>
I'm so glad I never got into MMOs
I'm pathetic but MMOs are peak loserdom
