>>214653531It's not the Eastern theme that got people upset but how different the overall theme felt from Warcraft universe, which at the time was still considered a dark universe. There's probably a very good reason why they went back to the grimdark stuff with the succeeding expansions. From a gameplay perspective the expansion was great (doubly so compared to WoD and Legion) but its narrative is hard to take seriously when you have kung fu pandas and rats ruining Chen's beer business.
