The GDR idealised the peasants as early revolutionaries in line with their own political program - wholeheartedly ignoring the strong religious motivations of the peasantry.And to my knowledge there wasn't any noticable action by the NSDAP against the Junker class beyond the usual Gleichschaltung program.
