What exactly is Jeopardy, and why is it so popular in the United States? How does the game work? Do you think you’d be able to win if you were on Jeopardy?

>What exactly is Jeopardy
It's a quiz show where people attempt to win money by answering obscure trivia questions
>How does the game work?
There's a board with six rows of questions and each row will focus on a different topic. The questions are organized from easiest to hardest and are given a corresponding dollar amount based off the difficulty. Contestants will attempt to the clear the board and earn as much money as possible by getting the most amount of correct answers
>Why is it so popular in the United States
Quiz shows have been popular since the 60s and there's been an aspect of the audience being able to play along with people at home trying to figure the answers as well.
>Do you think you’d be able to win if you were on Jeopardy?
Eh I don't think I would win but I could see myself walking away with some money
