What's it like being poor in your country?
>>
Kinda shit, because you live surrounded by other poor people who will play loud music and rob your things when you aren't around.
>>
>>214668946
What's the point of having things?
>>
>>214669343
I don't know, I'm not poor, but most of them just want to find a way out of those places.
>>
>>214668918
Shit
The US will destroy you even if you make supposedly middle class wages
I can't imagine being legitimately poor
>>
>>214669343
You can sell the things for cash dummy
>>
>>214668918
It's not that bad if you're content with few things. Nanny government will provide the bare basics, and as long as you can scrouge up enough for a half-decent laptop, all media is free.

Pic is pretty much me , working in a kitchen sucks
Not to mention that like 80% of the people you're working with are spics who all talk Spanish with each other leaving you out
>>
>>214668918
This one looks kind of comfy in a way

it was never that bad. I always knew I'd focus up and go back to school for a useful degree. In the span of 4 years, I went from minimum wage line cook to 200k. though, I think I'd still qualify as not-wealthy given I have no net worth other than what I've accrued from my salary. I honestly think being poor is a choice...just learn something useful and do it.

I have never once in my life been in a situation where I was in need of money or struggling to pay my bills. My parents are relatively wealthy and have provided me with everything I could ever want and more. If I ever needed money (within reason) they would be willing to pay for me and not expect a cent in return. If I were to lose my job today I could just move back in with them and they'd do everything in their power to make me comfortable until I was able to find a new job and move out again.

I'm not saying this to gloat, I'm saying this because the idea of being poor is so incredibly alien to me. I have no idea what it's like to exist without the safety net of my family's financial security beneath me. I had a few friends growing up who were definitely on the poorer side, and it always confused me as a kid why their houses were so much smaller than mine or why their parents had to work so much later.
And on the flip side, there are people in this world who are unfathomably richer than me and my family. I can only imagine how detached they are from the lives of poor and working class people.

Why not just do construction or sell cars

Terrible man. Hell on earth. I have a cavity as well as nerve pain shooting down my leg and I can’t so shit cause that money could be spent on food or rent instead. And no im not fat im 6’2 165. I want to love America. My parents came here hundreds of years ago. I have family members that fought in most of our terrible and retarded wars. My parents lived in a different world than I. I grew up with people who have never been addicts or anything, but kind of just low-ambition and they legit live in cars now. My rent goes up every month. Everything goes up every month. There are homeless people everywhere even in the small towns. Was the world always this way? I can’t afford to do anything. I work 10 hours a day. I Everyone know is on pharmaceutical drugs for some reason or another. I simply live to work and my body is breaking down. And im only 26. Im so angry that someone forced me to be alive sometimes. And they want me to DIE for this country HAHA! Fuck my life man. But yeah being poor here is shit. We also have the ‘bootstraps’ work ethic thing that is like a mental contagion. No amount of slavery will free these people around me.

being poor is the best most liberating thing in the entire universe. renouncing material belongins and enjoying life without being attached to these like a slave is indeed really good. you might be poor in the eyes of these slaves but you are the richest person alive

It isn't as bad as it once were, anon. Poor people get all sorts of gibs nowadays.

it used to mean you had a crappy job and your co worker was a weed dealer, now it means you have two jobs and your co workers are from seven different countries.
>>
>>214670243
Yea, here or a Nordic country
>>
>>214670627
you seem clueless a common swiss conceit
being poor sucks everywhere, it's easy to understand this for everyone else
>>

flag checks out
>>
>>214669795
Idk, I've never done either of those, but I've worked in many kitchens so it's easy to get a kitchen job
Selling cars sounds like it would require you to be an outgoing kind of person
Construction might be ok
