>Australian culture
I keep trying to find out what Dreamtime means exactly but whenever I ask an Aussie "what's dreamtime" they just give me some gay ass non-answer like "well dreamtime means something different to everyone" and then I try to look into specific dreamtime meanings and it's always the same shit. "Ahr well it's dreamtime! Dreamtime cannot actually be translated into English because it's so magical and specific so dreamtime is the closest way we can explain what does dreamtime mean to you?" The only consistencies is that there's a magic rainbow snake involved or something but they never explain what that is either.

Considering that the very idea of 'cultural cringe' originated in Australia, then it's very safe to say that many Australians resent Australian culture. Our kids are beat over the head with Abo fellation and the shunning of any endemic art & literature. The only Australian symbols of culture we're familiar with are a pastiche of Ned Kelly and the fauna that was God's own construction, not ours. How often do you hear an Aussie talking about Patrick White, Gerald Murnane, Sidney Nolan, Frederick Mccubbin, Tom Roberts, etc... Compare America's veneration for her ancestors, and then our dearth of recognition of our own historical achievement... We hate ourselves.

One of the most urbanised populations on the planet, and our cities are extremely focused right in the centre. Despite our cities being blown-out suburban hellscapes that take 2+ hours to drive across, everyone commutes to and from the main CBD every single day. There's very little economic activity happening outside of that one small zone. They tried (and are still trying) to build satellite cities, but it doesn't really work and they just end up becoming commuter towns.
Picrel is a good way to visualise it - it's the Melbourne rail network.

I don't know about Australia, but every Aussie I've met has been cool and fun.

Like most Australians, you're nothing more than a castrated, self-hating white cuck who kisses the feet of boongs, spreads his cheeks for immigrants and supported the singing of Welcome to Country on Anzac Day

Let's not pretend sombreros, being lazy and tacos are "culture"... Cartel killings and surgeons creating bogged monstrosities aren't unique to your country either

I don't think Australia has any peculiar culture that is not just a tropical-flavoted rip off of Anglo-American culture but I'd still love to live there nonetheless
>>
>>214673188
Really there's fuck all specifics about aboriginal history because we killed most of them and they cpuldnt work out how to write shit down in the first place. Also there's a shitload of tribes that all hate each other and they all have languages that are pretty much dead.

Well, honestly it's pretty disappointing how Australians haven't managed to develop a deeper culture. You guys sem to have a bunch of general stereotypes and like two accents if we're being generous (urban and rural).

You're a huge country where diverse settlers came to live in spread far apart settlements and there barely seems to be any regional cultural differences to speak if. How did that happen?

Also, you claim to hate Americans online but love their culture in reality.

The Dreamtime is basically the era of the earth where creation, heroism and other mystical mythology stuff was happening. Apparently there's some trippy stuff about how it does not follow linear time, is still happening, is another dimension etc etc but you can't trust that too much because some aboriginal customs were created by Whites in like the 70s. Apparently the term "Deamtime" isn't even based on any actual aboriginal term and was created by academics.
