Imagine being from America but not being from this specific region or not having deep ancestral ties to this region. Literally everything good about the United States, culturally, philosophically, historically, originates here.

I truly pity people who aren't from the true heartlands.

You shouldn't even be calling yourself American if you aren't from this region, much less arguing that whatever South Carolinian or New England derived shithole you come from has the same cultural or historic weight as this region does.

This region literally IS the United States. The Northeast and Deep South were entirely different entities, constantly at odds, this region made America.
