Trying to get into /brit/ but can't get the lingo right. What is "Rorke", what is "nonce", what is "leftypole"
>>214860554Never seen they replied to my posts. They tend to self-talk
>>214860654agree, it's difficult to get in. Got called "clog wog" the other day
>>214860554>>214860654>>214860741>RorkeA stereotype of a young male right-wing person. If someone says a right-wing opinion then you might call them Rorke.>LeftypolSimilar to above, but a left-wing stereotype instead of a right-wing stereotype. So if someone says a left-wing opinion, you might call them Leftypol.>NonceThis means paedophile. If you call someone a nonce, you're calling them a paedophile.>Clog wogThere is a Dutch poster who spams awful posts in /brit/, and he has been referred to as "clog wog". "Clog" refers to Dutch clogs, and "wog" is a very offensive term for a foreign person (it's usually used to refer to non-white people)
>>214861126This is very helpful and I am forever indebted to you. Any other lingo I should know?
>>214861235>doing a poo the person is emptying their bowels at this moment
POPPYCOCK
>>214861235Another word which has become common in /brit/ is "catberg" which just means a cat. The "-berg" suffix is borrowed from Jewish surnames (e.g. Goldberg etc). I think people started saying "catberg" to imply that their cat is like a Jewish master, demanding things from (since cats demand food etc). It's similar to how people in /brit/ say "toilstein" to refer to their boss ("toil" means work and "-stein" is again just a suffix from Jewish surnames).
>>214861126>>214864624I just saved it to my personal knowledge management system
Imagine being too retarded to get /brit/
>>214861126>>214864624why is britisher english a lot cooler than american english
>>214864708>>214864624>>214861126>>214861301Putting these into anki so that I can practice
>>214860554it's like they speak another language man
why is /brit/ so uniquely schizo? for some reason other generals dont have the same vibe
>>214864624Sounds kinda antisemitic, innit?
>>214865818You can't understand most other generals in the first place
>>214865888but I feel that's the case even for other english speaking generals. from time to time I activate the browser translator to see what the others are on about
>>214865727Because we're just naturally cooler than Americans>>214865785Ours is the original (and therefore better) version>>214865818/deutsch/ is pretty schizo from my experience>>214865856I personally have no problem with Jewish people
>>214865818is /ita/ less schizo
>>214865954nederdraad is just 4 cucks talking to eachother now
>>214860554rorke is one of the posters he looks like this and they cant figure out why he gets girls all the time
>>214860554I can't even tell if they're slang or archaic words
