「Valheim」を日本語でプレイしてみるところ。このゲームはすきけど、日本語翻訳にはちょっと変なところがあります。例えば屋内で休んだら「休息済み」というバフを獲得してから、それは色んなの活動に助ける。でもそのバフが消える時に、「もう十分休んだ」と表示される(英語版では「You don't feel rested anymore」と)。だから「また休息を取れそう」とか 「疲弊し始めている」はずかな?

Actually I think when I switched from English subs to Japanese subs/no subs was when watching in English was getting annoying. I was fairly early in my studies, but I kept hearing Japanese words and my brain would try to focus on the Japanese and the English at the same time and it was just annoying so I dropped the English for good.>>215049734Sounds like a good time to start immersing. Study some more grammar every day and keep doing anki and you'll start to understand more day by day. It takes time for listening comprehension to catch up so you could watch some episodes with Japanese subtitles (jimaku.cc) and some without and see how goes.Pick something easy for now. Slice of life is nice, doesn't really matter if you don't understand half the plot.

Has anyone here used VRChat to practice speaking Japanese? Is it worth trying it or will I have trouble finding native Japanese speakers there?

It's very easy to find Japanese speakers if you know the worlds to look for, e.g. Fujiyama and Nagisa (this one is for 1 on 1 conversations only), and you can also go to that one Japanese Language Exchange world.Even though I can put up a conversation to last until I'm tired, I am just so extremely anti-social that it's very painful to go to these places, but even then I managed to find many friends (which I stopped talking to because of fear and anxiety (/ω＼) ).If you're very new I wouldn't recommend doing VRchat first thing ever, because watching anime and mining cards is just so much easier and efficient, unless you're THAT much of a 陽キャ.

so i came across this phrase in an anime:> 報われない恋and no matter how many times i listen to it, the pitch only drops after こ because 恋 is 頭高, but not after れ, even though in 終止形 報われない has a drop after れ (e.g. 努力がむ/くわれ\ない)suzuki-kun on ojad confirms both patterns, though i know it's an automatic tool that can make mistakesi can't find a relevant rule in dogen's pitch accent coursehow does this work?

>>215118536Yes I believe so. As far as I know, if the verb is heiban in its dictionary form then it's also heiban in the ない form, if it's non-heiban then the accent drops after the mora directly before ない.
