Has anyone on int ever been to China
>>
>>215014633
Yeah I’ve been a few times. I went a lot with my old job and have also been as a tourist. I generally enjoyed it, cool stuff to see, feels quite safe and the urban areas are modern. The downsides are the smog and pollution and you have be very wary of what you drink and eat.
>>
>>215014716
It still has pollution?
>>
>>215014725
Beijing and Shanghai were pretty bad for air pollution.
>>
>>215014633
That's Kyoto thoughbeit.

Anyway I went to Beijing once, 15 years ago. I must have had a half dozen people come up to me and ask if they could take me to a teahouse and practice their English on me.

When you visit Kyoto, you can experience China.
>>
I considered visiting taiwan i.e. real china and not recently built train stations for redditors
>>
>>215015012
i don't understand
i recognize that the cafe might be chinese-owned, but there's nothing in those photos that looks chinese to me
>>
I visited Taiwan the real China and it was great
>>
>>215015072
Experience what modern Chinese people are like.
It's a lovely cafe where they buy traditional old houses in other countries, furnish them with expensive Western furniture, and serve Japanese microwave meals.
>>
>>215014725
Last time I went there, in every hotel I slept (Shanghai, Shenzen, Guangzhou, Taichou) there was always an indoor air monitoring sensor in every room.

Shanghai's air was as bad as Jakarta, but others were very clean.

Had to go numerous times for work. Impressive cities. Nice people. My stomach can never handle their food so I only ate at the hotel.
>>
>>215015072
The food at that cafe is truly wonderful, and Japanese vloggers visit it almost every day.

how hot are the average women?
was it clean?
does it have crime?
Overall did you have a good time?
>>
>>215015299
>how hot are the average women?
Not that hot, but you will see a lot of women totally caked out in makeup like those viral Chinese videos. In person it doesn't look good. Also so a lot of people cosplaying and just wearing lolita style clothes for no particular reason. If that's something you like it might be improve your opinion
>was it clean?
Downtown areas and new constructions are always clean and modern but once you leave these areas it drops off significantly.
>does it have crime?
Didn't see any, but there were tonnes of warnings about fraudsters and cybercrime which I don't recall in 2019.
>Overall did you have a good time?
Yes, I was in Shanghai this time. Only complaint was it was too damn hot. Africa tier 37C, I'm a leaf so it was unbearable at times.

been there twice for work
Shanghai was a much more international hub than I'd imagined, feels closer to Dubai than Seoul
Qingdao had many modern period european buildings and a beautiful oceanfront It reminded me of Lisbon
Chongqing overwhelmed me with its huge cyberpunk nightscape but prefered the charming traditional residential areas behind the skyscrapers, the local food there was very delicious and remember it being very humid
>>
>>215015612
Shanghai is full of Koreans now because you guys no longer need a visa to visit.

I think he's trying to say that Japanese traditional culture (like you see in kyoto) is just an imitation of chinese culture

basically he's a seething zhang crying about japanese supremacy while staying in a shitty hostel in osaka

Thinking about going to China next year. I was thinking Taipei, Hangzhou/Suzhou, and Luoyang. Already been to Beijing/Xi'an/Shanghai
>>

I went there for 3 days earlier this month, it's interesting how it's just a wider and bigger version of HK and Taiwan.

I think maybe to go there on my next vacations. We have visa-free for 2 weeks staying from like a week ago.

Ironically true. I hear more Mandarin in Kyoto than I would in Taipei. But I guess Kyoto has historically been a cuck throughout Japanese history getting pwnded by many warlords.

Both you and the Japanese flag are mistaken, but that >>215015012
became notorious for being an absolutely terrible cafe.
It was featured on the web and TV news, so there's probably no Japanese person who doesn't know about that Chinese-run cafe.

When it comes to air pollution, it depends where and when.
Some cities like Kunming have little problem with it because ofwhere they are or because they don't have much heavy industry.
The Guangzho-Shenzen area can get horrendous sometimes.
Water pollution is a real issue in certain rivers.
>>
>>215014633
Yes. So far I've been to Beijing, Xi'an, Guilin, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Dongguan, Foshan, and Macau/Hong Kong, if you count those as well.

yes for tourism (to actual China not only Shanghai and Beijing)
