I instinctively hoped it was a screenshot of a Japanese woman pissing in public but I clicked it to just find she was just cutely riding a lion statue
I can't believe Masao-dono had such low morals as to bait me like that

>East Asians need to learn morals as a subject instead of something that's intrinscically hardwired into every human being.
>>
>>215091692
is it though? It's something taught to you by parents and discovered on your own
>>
>>215091692
Morals arent hardwired to any person though you can naturally develop empathy.

Both have a point but also most people can't learn let alone teach them well, any attempt to standardize them will be sabotaged by whiny manipulative psychopaths, and most people will never develop them on their own.

Can't remember a time I didn't have my core morals.

>Can't remember a time I didn't have my core moral
Yeah because you've gone trough education by the school or your parents/media since you were a toddler.

Are you sure it's wise to assume morals cannot be innate because infants are unable to hold up their own heads or digest solid food?
>>
>>215091891
What are you even talking about?

the whole idea of "perfect japan" is bullshit and anyone that has been in a japanese city after dark knows that
everywhere people are drunk, passed out on the street and throwing up
streets smelling like piss and vomit is worse than doing a pull up in the train

>Can't remember a time I didn't have my core morals.
You develop them through observing your parents and how they interact with the world, it's not like one day they popped straight into your head
>Most people can't learn let alone teach them well
Partially agreeing, most parents can't teach their children shit, they are inconsistent with rules and all to lax/overprotective or just don't care at all, for most kids it's never began. I do believe you can learn morals at any age thought, at least I hope you can... the alternative is daunting :(

It's just a question of basic logic, you think that if you were adopted as little child by a cannibal tribe in the middle of the jungle you'd still have your American morals?
>>
>>215091911
I don't know how to ask it in any simpler or more direct terms

I always had morals that I just had to force myself to be honest to and internally resolve to a point of truth as far back as I can remember
They definitely were influenced by my parents as I grew but I also disagreed with them a lot on various moral points.
If I had been raised by a cannibal tribe I would have still grown disgusted with it, just as I am morally and instinctively disgusted by abortion even though it's not socially rewarded by my family or my culture to be so. Same with communism, even though I'm constantly told it's moral to force the rich to pay for other people, I know it's innately evil and anti-consent.
If I had been born in a period where slavery were common, I would undoubtedly have died a lesser-known version of a Cassius Clay.
The soul rebels, frankly.
What other people refer to as morals often seem like self-serving, performative emotional nonsense to me. Including and especially the anti-moralists who claim morals don't exist and are innately arbitrary out of their own feeling of being threatened by moral judgment for their personal evil actions, obviously.

I'm sorry but I seriously cannot understand how you can think that logically, it makes no sense if you look at the history of humanity.
There are some core human morals that are biologically implanted, like not killing your own, don't fuck your mom or children etc., even though even those can be somewhat highjacked by education.
Your own forebears had very different morals than you so now.
And finally, just look at adopted or diaspora kids again, whether they are bantu black from the forests of Congo or Chinese it doesn't matter, if adopted they completely integrate in the moral systems the grew up in and if diaspora they still take on that value system but have some interference by the parents native ones to varying degrees, depending on how the parents educated them.
This further proves that morals, outside of those animalistic basic ones, are taught and non innate

>thirdies think that morals are passed down like some kind of ancestral blood memory, and not something that you continuously develop as you experience the world and gain knowledge
