Johor Bahru = heavy industry
Oil & gas is mainly in the states of Terengganu, Sabah and Sarawak. Rice and agriculture is mainly in the northern states of Kedah, Perlis and Kelantan. Lumber is mainly Sarawak but most states other than Kuala Lumpur has it.

Singapore is literally a tutorial country. They got independence by not even doing anything. The Malay states banded together to get our Independence from the Bongs. The Bongs said ok, but take Singapore too. We didn't want too (because Chinks) but the Brits said either that or no deal. So we did.
