I'm against the bug-eating, pod-living kind of environmentalism, but environmentalism done right is a form of conservatism and patriotism, it's weird how in Anglo countries it's become seen as woke. Also I find the whole "Not in my backyard!" hostility towards mixed-use zoning, whilst simultaneously calling green initiatives soulless kinda funny. Obviously you don't want a factory by your house, but stuff like a corner shop and a pub within walking distance so you don't need to drive everywhere is actually a very traditional and wholesome white way of living. I get not wanting to live in the city, but when people live in suburbs full of cookie-cutter houses and no local amenities, that's just a different flavour of soulless.

By the time solar panels get affordable for the average people, this subsidy gets taken away.A large amount of people now have solar panels, now we make people pay for producing energy because our grid can't handle all those solar panels on the people's roofs.But at the same time the government builds bigger and bigger solar farms, preferably in plain view in the few places of nature we have left.It's just draining our pockets, while having 0,1% effect on global warming at most (we are 0,02% of the world population).
