There was some attempt to import it and dub it (see the infamous Urusei Yatsura dub that only lasted a few episodes) but for whatever reason it never gained much popularity. I can only assume the anime broadcast was never given much airtime or advertising, especially considering how weeby people are now after being more exposed to it. Anime with European settings are usually kino, though it’s a bit sad that the most well known anime set in England is Black Butler kek.
