Whitest states in Brazil.

im from sc
I knew a girl from Amapá. She was cute
>>215309170i like girls from pará because they look more indigenous
>>215309269I think people from Amapá are more indigenous on average
>>215309489Go fuck yourself
>>215309061My last name is most common in Rio Grande do Sul
>>215309489/thread
>>215309561Which is why you're a handsome man.
when i look up "NORTHERN brazilian girls" on google it still gives me SOUTHERN brazilian girls results on tiktok and other platforms because browns in this country only search for thatfucking cringe
>>215309605Are you even Brazilian? You would know nobody talks about the north and they don't have a big regional identity. The only regions talked about are the northeast and the south, outside of that we talk about states in particular
>>215309637sou de santa catarina
>>215309650That pic proves my point. She refers to herself as someone from a state and not from a region. Even southerners do this most of the time unless they want to talk about how they are collectively whiter than the rest. The only region with a regionalist culture is the northeast
>>215309689i think its the rest of brazil that pushes the northeast as a whole towards the regional northeastern identity because they dont want to associate with them
>>215309741Northeasterners are the ones shilling their own regional culture the hardest. They talk all the time about being from there, about the regional cultural stuff etc
>>215309767yes but they have been pushed towards that as wellbut to be honest maybe its both nowi think its funny because i prefer to identify as being from sc over the south but saying the south is totally fine to me toomostly because rs and gaúchos have a lot of unique culture and identity (some of which spread here a bit) and paraná is kinda são paulo lite but whiter and sc is very unique in demographic origins
>>215309877Anti-northeast sentiment was only a thing in Rio and São Paulo and it only used to affect the migrants themselves that went there. People in the northeast have been proud about their regional culture way before the internet and political polarization made the rest of Brazil talk about them. You are correct on saying that the hate made them double down but they already were very regionalistic from the beginning
>>215309953interestingsc is getting a lot of venezuelans and northeasterners nowwe have to build a wallanyway im out now bye
>>215309877Yes, the south is just three states but each one has a totally different cultural origin, so saying you are southerner before catarinense or gaúcho would feel forced. Meanwhile you could travel all the way from Sergipe to Rio Grande do Norte to the south of Ceará, crossing 6 states and not even hear a difference in the accent
>>215309877>>215310091Isn't SC and PR extremely similar when it comes to the demographic origins for the most part? Both states pretty much had no population before the waves of immigrants in the 19th century and shared a lot of colonies, like the western half of SC that was part of Paraná until not a long time ago. With the exception of the Azoreans in SC coastline and the Paulistas pioneiros in the northern part of Paraná, I don't think there's much difference. Even the accent seems pretty much identical in southern half PR, western SC, and a bit of northern RS.The only part of the southern region that really has an exclusive culture to one state I would say is the gaúcho culture in the Pampas.
>>215310275I think they used to be similar in the very beginning but the history of immigration was a factor that made them more different, not similar. Because different groups went to different places in different proportions and PR kept more of its original culture than SC. PR had an older occupation too, when SC was mostly empty
