Just do the third strike rule.
Help them at first.
Help them the second time, reminding them you already explained everything the first time.
Don’t help them the third time and remember them about the previous two.
You’ll start noticing them pick up the pace. Managed to make my grandpa a phone pro like this.

Life is cruel to some people. I'm sure there are both men and women who end up childless even though they wanted children. Also I reckon there's a massive element of luck which determines our lives, because our lives are largely determined by our genes, and we don't choose our genes, it's just sheer luck which determines our genes

For me, it's simulation theory.
>it doesn't make a le heckin' difference, chud!
It's still true though. The more advanced we become, the more complicated our simulations become. Give it another 10,000 years and humans will have GPUs that can accurately simulate galaxies at the subatomic level. This is also to say nothing of the fact that human beings have a strong desire to simulate false realities and escape into them. It's more likely that this has already happened than is yet to happen.

Also, eldritch horrors that live in galactic voids.

So we live in our own simulation? The beings who created our current one (X), who live in a simulation (X-1) created for them by beings (X-2) who are to them what they are to us, and the beings who will live in the simulation (X+1) we create for them, who will then create simulation (X+2) for beings who will be to them what they are to us, and so on... ad infinitum (when and where did it began?), are essentially the same beings? And we are them? We always have been, we always are, and we always will be?

>The scientific method isn't something to be believed in. It must be used for our own purposes (mainly for satisfying our alethic desires and needs), like any other tool.
Well sometimes when someone says "I believe in something" it means "I have faith in that thing" right? So I would say I have faith in the scientific method, and its ability to discover true conclusions. Hopefully I'm making sense and not just being stupid

>Unfortunately, in the field of metaphysics, the usefulness of this tool is somewhat limited :|
Someone might pose a metaphysical question like "is the universe we experience real, or is it just a simulation" and they might argue that science can't answer this question. Is that the kind of thing you mean?

Huh, that's a new perspective on the simulation theory, I've always heard that people just say we're programmed to do certain things and people are like NPCs, which feels a bit dehumanizing.

If so, I apologise. That image/quote from the earlier message provided some context that I should have ignored

>Is that the kind of thing you mean?
More or less. In general, this method is great and so far humanity has not invented anything better. However, we must be careful not to fall into dogmatism and make science a caricature of what it really is (i.e. a kind of pseudo-religion, as some atheists tend to "believe")

Hmm... Honestly the biggest downside of depression meds are the libido issues, but you do seem quite depressed, Magyarino. You're constantly talking about how being single and autistic is affecting you.
Maybe you should go to a good therapist too, to learn better self-care behaviours and to stop boycotting yourself socially.

I'm an atheist but yeah I don't want to turn science into a religion, or make it dogmatic. Surely part of science is to never turn any conclusion into a dogma. We might have some conclusions that we think are well-supported by evidence, but future evidence might require us to alter our conclusions

>The issue is there's still things we can't explain and confirm fully with science, yet. Wonder what'll happen when the day comes.
Definitely there are things that science can't yet explain. When I talk to religious people on /his/ they sometimes take a view such as "science can't tell us where the universe came from, therefore we need a supernatural God to explain the existence of the universe". But I would say that science might one day discover where the universe came from, or what started it, or whether anything came before it, etc

I feel like maybe two things could be together at the same time, kinda like science fiction. Maybe there is something bigger out there that caused a chemical, atomic, some kind of reaction. Maybe we're leftovers of an already ended universe that restarted after heat death. Maybe nothing will happen once this one dies.
I'm just grateful I managed to see so many great things while alive, and that I still got a lot of things to see.
Like today for example I saw a big ass bombaclat german shepherd dog together with a little girl, the dog followed me and let me pat it. The girl warned me though that it can bite, so I was careful.

Yeah my perspective is pretty similar to that. There could be God out there who made the universe, I don't think that can be ruled out. I just don't currently believe in any gods and I would probably only believe that a god exists if I come across strong evidence which indicates the existence of a god

I guess the only evidence I have is based on a karma-like system of good and evil, I was raised Catholic, did the communion and got baptized as a kid and teen, and... I don't know. I guess I fall into the agnostic category, I think maybe there's a God just because there's good things.
Yeah, there's a lot of bad things too, but the fact that there's so much good and so many beautiful things, even grotesque things that others find awful, yet I find beautiful, is already evidence that it's worthy of admiration.
Might be ignorant having faith in these times, but I feel like more than ever people need a reason to keep pushing through. Idk if through faith, but at least holding on to something good.

Honestly, it's the autistic part and being a chud, not the single.
>Maybe you should go to a good therapist too
You see, the problem is that I started going to therapists when I was 14 and they absolutely did not help at all. When I told them a problem, they would just tell me what the fuck ever they learned in school without understanding the problem itself then called it a day. >without understanding the problem itself
Sadly a lot of therapists are like that... My alternate therapist is very direct and strongheaded and she uses full body focusing, and some other techniques to get us more connected with what we're going through, and we use art to express what we have in our minds. Kinda like dialectal behavioral therapy but more creative. And it's uplifting, too.

Sakana basically.
Several very small dishes like chicken skewers, small ramen bowls, grilled pork belly, salty vegetables, etc, all accompanied by alcohol, usually sake.
In nipponese culture, sake acts as a substitute of rice at izakaya because it's made of rice. You can also drink beer or stronger spirits if you want.
An izakaya is basically a japanese bar, like a tapas bar in spain. It's where the nipponese sararyman go to get drunk after 18h of grorious work.

Pope declars the crusade and select a target kingdom, which is usually anywhere in Europe or around the Med which is not under Christian rule. If pious enough, you can change the target of the crusade. The crusade doesn't start immediately of course, as one waits on as much Catholic rules as possible to join in, and in the meantime you choose your benefactor, who will take the land in the new crusader kingdom according to your contribution to the crusade, and also donatw money which goes to a price pool that goes to the leaders after a crusade is won. Crusade starts, and if won, the benefactor of the leader that contributed the most, militarily, becomes the king/queen, followed by dukes and counts. Something like that.

Ottomans are a tough nut to crack, ignore that nagger.
There are two ways of beating them.
Beating them before they take Constantinople, by planning the early game around that.
Outscale them before you meet up with them.

For France it's mostly the second, since you can expand faster than the AI by playing well, even with their superior armies you can win by numbers.
Then with some countries like Venice or Aragon you conquer Constantinople before them, then you just have to trap their armies in Anatolia, and later if you want you can restore Byzantium.
And starting as Byzantium, there are a few guides for who to do it.

And then there's a secret third way, their troops become equal to western troops around tech 12 and worse by 18, and later on they have disasters in the age of absolutism.
