How anglicized is your native language? I always see people here complain about young people using more and more english. Is it just slang, or is the grammar of your language borrowing from English too?
>>215318142young people do use English words, I heard them say "fuck that" or "feel you" but I don't really care, borrowing words from other languages is common, my mom told me that back in the day they used french words, we also have a lot of words borrowed from RussianLet me tell you a funny thing, you know the word " halal", right? When we used it we mean that something is good for nothing, useless and when I saw it on the internet I got very confused because people used it with a positive meaning
nobody here speaks our languages purely like our grandparents used to, its very english dominant
>>215318142english is my first language but i speak chinese at an elementary level and people always say "bye bye" in that funny chinese accent.when i say "goodbye" in mandarin, they look at me like im retarded for sounding like i'm from some historical tv show or some shit
>>215318142The worst one I can think of is people with the name "Michael" (In German it's pronounced very different from English) using "Mike" as a nickname
