How anglicized is your native language? I always see people here complain about young people using more and more english. Is it just slang, or is the grammar of your language borrowing from English too?

young people do use English words, I heard them say "fuck that" or "feel you" but I don't really care, borrowing words from other languages is common, my mom told me that back in the day they used french words, we also have a lot of words borrowed from Russian
Let me tell you a funny thing, you know the word " halal", right? When we used it we mean that something is good for nothing, useless and when I saw it on the internet I got very confused because people used it with a positive meaning

nobody here speaks our languages purely like our grandparents used to, its very english dominant

english is my first language but i speak chinese at an elementary level and people always say "bye bye" in that funny chinese accent.

when i say "goodbye" in mandarin, they look at me like im retarded for sounding like i'm from some historical tv show or some shit

The worst one I can think of is people with the name "Michael" (In German it's pronounced very different from English) using "Mike" as a nickname
