Something funny happens every time a foreign brand gains traction in Bangladesh of one of their products. The local big name that also makes that product copies the packaging of the foreign brand down to the color composition. I suspect it's to dupe the consumers into buying their products when they were actually looking to buy the foreign product in question. Over the years I have seen this happen with all sorts of stuff, from biscuits to soaps to soft drinks.

Does this happen in your country?
>>
I suppose not
>>

they dont copy packaging to that extent usually but there are knockoffs that come close sometimes
>>
>>215324781
It's particularly bizarre because these aren't any small-time companies, they're usually household names or at least well-known to most people here.

copyright law is really strong here, unironically the cases of piracy they did persecute resulted in punishments worse than a murderer gets.
companies dont really have to follow the laws but they at least pretend to respect copyright law here and other companies suing them for that is about the closest thing to punishment they get.

Lidl is pretty notorious for copying brand name products. often they are considerably worse despite not even being that much cheaper

I don't think so. Majority of people are not blind or illiterate. Not sure about in Bangladesh though. I still always buy the local copycats rather than import because buying imported noods are just depressing.

I have recently bought a 5-pack Indomie noodles for 690 taka which is about 94936.71 Indonesian Rupiah
>>
>>215331837
Well that's expensive, locally it's 88 taka/12k rupiah. Country the size of Bangladesh should be able to house their own instant noods industry. Maybe force Salim group to build Indomie factory there. I'm not anti foreign brand, they just need to set-up factory here.

Bangladesh is literally the most disgusting country I’ve ever been to.
Extremely overcrowded, people crawling out the sewers. It’s also fucking poor af, with a gdp per capita 5 times smaller than Brazil.

You can see here how these Noodle slop are processed in factory. You laugh because Indonesia's one is straight-up third world crap, Korea's one is still lagged. Equipment and machines are extremely outdated compared to Japan's, they using decades-old noodle machines like exactly brownoids you can expect.

>>

Are those carbonara noodles any good?
>>
>>215335115
They're disgusting. Even among the Buldak flavors they're my least favorite (mostly because they use a different kind of noodles for it)
>>
>>215335176
What's disgusting is all the masala and curry flavours. They taste like keys
>>
>>215335657
What are keys supposed to taste like? Anyway, I agree, they're disgusting too. This is the only flavor I eat these days, aside from 3x on days I want to feel something
>>
>>215323058
Any discount and lesser known brand does it.
Mexican shitty Corona is probably the most common example when it comes to others copying its bottle style.
Then Nutella, Barilla, Pringles, etc among food.

Enter any Chinese maxistore if you want to have a giggle at their bootleg brand names and logos or perfumes.
