Here in Finland we really don't have our own car brands. Our most recent car brand was Elcat. They basically imported Subaru Domingo vans and converted them to EV's and sold them as Elcat Cityvan 200's from 1990-2002.

Daewoo bought them but then went bankrupt GM then bought a 40% stake in 2007 on them. I wonder had GM not went nearly bankrupt in 2008 would FSO become a budget brand of Opel here in Europe. Similar to how Dacia is the budget brand of Renault or Skoda is the budget brand of VW.
