Why does int hate American suburbia? Is it just cope?
>>215328824Because it forces overreliance on private vehicular transportation over everything else and makes having a car mandatory. I'd rather have multiple viable options and mixed-use zoning rather than the vast sea of cookie-cutter houses separates from commercial areas separated by highways.I'm not one of those "cars bad" autists, but with how expensive everything's becoming It'd be nice to not need to have a car given how expensive they are to buy, fuel, insure, and maintain. That and we're fat largely because of how unwalkable a lot of the country is, don't get our steps in.More Americans are realizing this and want to make changes accordingly to the way our cities and towns are designed, and have more infrastructure developed for other modes of transportation.
>>215328824It is just train autists that are brutally loud and obnoxious despite being an extremely tiny population
>>215329060You need to beauty in the simple things an empty parking lot can be more beautiful than rockefeller center
>>215328824The sole reason why suburbs came to be is because whites wanted to get away from inner city niggs. I don't blame them for such a decision, but when they start pretending how awesome their cardboard McMansions are I can't help but cringe. They've lost their cities to shitskins, so they've fled. That's also where their car obsession comes from, because public transporation in America only exists to keep niggs off from the road, because they're the most reckless drivers, so buses and trains are mobile containment zones for non-whites, thus they're extremely hostile places for whites, who prefer to drive their own cars instead.
>>215329166I don't think that is true, either of those claims. Suburbs are a thing everywhere where there is enough place and people have been buying cars as long as they could. Even in the 70s Hungary people who could afford bought a car
Because Europeans can't compete with America and need to weaponise practically every mundane feature they have to win arguments. European exceptionalism is a response to their rapidly dwindling relevance.
>>215329210Except the suburbs of Budapest were originally homesteads that were later absorbed by the city and it's infrastructure was expanded to them, meanwhile American suburbs were purpose built by upper middle class whites to get away from inner cities. That's why our suburbs are organically connected to their host cities via buses and trains, because they were created through natural urban expansion. Americans on the other hand just copypasted a bunch of identical houses and dumped them in the middle of nowhere, then made a 4 lane urban highway to connect them to their host city to make sure that broke ass niggs who didn't own cars couldn't reach them.
>>215329571Most of the suburbs around cities here were villages and small towns. The borders of Budapest are completely arbitrary, the Eastern districts were only added in the 50s. You have no idea what you are talking about
>>215329801If anything the suburbs around the cities are often times placed completely randomly as they were separate entities for most of history
>>215328824They're far away from everything and traffic can get pretty bad. It's really pretty but the downsides are too much for a lot of people.
>>215328824jealousy, there's also a train station a mile away from my house that will take me to nyc in about an hour
