What was covid like in your country?
>>215338435Best year of my life tbqhwyimo
it was nice honestly
>>215338435I only used to work from 10am to 3pmMan what a year
Pretty chill. I miss walking around with nobody else outside.
>>215338435my life didnt change one bit except that i had to wear a mask riding the bus
>>215338435Pretty normal. I didn't wear a mask and got complaints very rarely. One such case was when I sneezed in an empty train, a conductor came by to offer me a mask. I blew my nose in it and politely thanked him and got yelled at.
March - August 2020 were very comfy actually. Normaltards stopped taking it seriosly after that and thats when "lockdown" kinda died off.
>>215338435It was okay. Bars closed at 20.00 at the latest instead of 03. The government changed their stance on these things all the time, so I simply stopped listening to what they said. It was a good time in my life as I had a "covid girlfriend" who left me as soon as things went back to normal. >>215339623You didn't need to do this, though. You only needed to wear a mask if you visited a hospital or a home for the elderly.
>>215338435about half of these are obvious parodieschuds want covid to come back so that leftoid screaming and crying goes into overdrive again, why is that
>>215339928im pretty sure you needed mask for public transport
>>215338435I really liked the first lockdown period. It was like the world finally made sense. It even worked here, we had only a couple of fatalities and few tens of cases in the first wave.too bad everyone got complacent and it was a pointless shitshow afterward
Friend's mum went really crazy into it, she was like some fanatic redguard during the Cultural Revolution. She'd be in the supermarket and she'd get in people's faces screaming at them to pull their mask up properly, she'd hedge complaints all the time with businesses about workers who weren't wearing their masks properly. She'd be with her friend watching the lockdown protests on TV and would be apparently yelling about how she'd slit their tyres and commit acts of violence against them if she was there. She threatened to cut my friend off forever if he didn't get vaccinated, and gloated about she had the means to check to see if he was lying. Literally bragging about breaking patient confidentiality and the law. People don't talk about Covid much but I think it's really changed how people approach politics. Like it's definitely changed how I see middle aged and elderly white women a lot.
>>215340142Did anyone ever find out why or did she ever explain why she was so militant?
>>215338435>March-May 2020 complete retardation but at least no masks>June-September 2020 life was basically normal at this time. No lockdowns and no mask mandates. It was just like 2019.>October 2020-March 2021 complete retardation once again and now with mask mandates>April 2021-February 2022 Mask mandates and few places had vax passwords. But other than that pretty normal.I was able to bullshit myself out of most mask mandates. And few places that enforced that shit I would then go there wearing a hazmat suit after. And after that they would let me be around without a mask.
>>215340142Many such cases. Like you said, it was the same in China during the cultural revolution. These "people" act like sleeper agents, once their triggers are pressed they just go full retard on said issue, and they either act like they didn't once it's over or they still keep on going, like the people you see still keeping mask discipline.
>>215340163Some people wait their entire lives for a chance to grasp the power to shit all over someone. Doesn't matter who, or for what reason, or by what means. You could drop them off in any time period and they'd get up to the same shit.
>>215340142I was crazy into it at the start. I remember panicking about it during January-February 2020. Like someone on the news would be like "no need to panic only 200 people have gotten infected." And I would be like "But last week that number was just 20!"But when other people finally started to panic and the lockdowns hit my tune had already changed and I became anti lockdown and anti vax in before they even announced the lockdowns in March.
Bad because I didn't get laid off so I didn't get the giga gibs this country never gives out. Good because I did lots of gay shit with a few 10/10s
>>215340470>>215340414>>215340142I got super into it because the state was finally cracking down on all the normalfag behavior I despisewhy do you need to mill about in public spaces so much? covid or not, bars and parties and such are still hotbeds for spreading regular diseases. also nightly incelwalks are much comfier when everyone else is locked up in their room
>>215340163Sounds like some manic disorder. Humans aren't perfect but anyone who cares that much about something that isn't themselves or their close ones is probably mentally unstable.
god what a dogshit time to be alive. it was maybe enjoyable in the first 3 months because of the novelty of it, but then it went south real fast for more whole 2 years with every other hope of going back to normality dying right away. my life turned into a black hole between 2020 and 2022.
>>215340072No you fucking faggot
made WFH reality. I am forever in Xi's debt
Have you thanked them for single handedly eradicating the pandemic?
>>215338435Covid here was a nothingburger except for the old folks who died at the start. >no masks >no curfews >no lockdowns We had hand sanitizer stations in public locations like malls and shops, people were allowed to work from home more and there was some limits on how many people could be in certain buildings at once but other than that I didn't notice a damn thing. During the absolute peak of it, when the rest of the world was in a panic I was literally sitting in a gaming café watching the news from around Europe like some kinda virus outbreak horror movie on the tv. And on the internet, everyone was flaming Sweden. On international news, everyone was flaming Sweden. >ooh everyone is gonna die there>ooh most deaths in EuropeMeanwhile after it was all said and done, we had the least excess deaths and fucking won.
>>215340652>falling for the obvious WEF psyopWFH is just the foot in the door for the final replacement of all westoid workers with jeets either offshore (you can do this job remotely!) or onshore (the jeets come in every day unlike lazy whitoids)
That was my sophomore year of high school
>>215340689>On international news, everyone was flaming Sweden.over here you were mostly getting compliments in the media and people suggesting we should take your strategy
>>215340072>im pretty sure you needed mask for public transportNo you didn't. It was recommended but they never made it mandatory. The ONLY place where masks were forced was in hospitals if you displayed any symptoms as you were tested for temperature before entering during a period of time. Nothing else. Unless some region had their own local rules about it, I never saw anything like it though and I used trains and buses during the entire pandemic.
>>215340142My mom isn't confrontational like that thankfully but she did go into borderline hysteria over covid and was very fatalistic and convinced she was going to catch it and die and would tell me what to do with her stuff etc. It was kind of funny because despite her paranoia she was also a chuddie conspiratard about it. She wanted to be vaxxed and not be around people that weren't but then when she began to get convinced of the conspiracies shed say certain newer vaccines didn't work and be skeptical of lots of stuff arbitrarily while still bring overly paranoid about the disease itself
>>215340163This woman worked at a hospital and was obsessed with medical dramas her entire life, and like many boomers, consumed the 6pm news like it was gospel. It was entirely a self-righteous thing and she was completely oblivious to how hate-filled she was. There was actually a genuine desire to commit violence against people and full on dehumanizing hatred in how she talked about anti-vaxxers. I feel she's always had the potential to be like this, but it took the right social pressures for her true mentality to seep through.100% if the government escalated to killing the unvaccinated (wouldn't happen, but still, if) she would've been there participating and beating them to death. I feel like older Eastern Europeans are still sort of aware of what people can be like under tyranny, who will flip and participate in it. But for the first time westerners got a brief little taste of these people emerging.
>>215338435I got a whole bunch of work when film opened back up here. "Guys, if you don't live together, don't sit together. If one of you gets sick, we all go home, but if two of you get sick, we all stay there. Put this in your nose. Don't cough into each other's mouths. Wear a mask when it makes sense to."Film and commercials stayed pretty extreme about it here for a while. I don't think I've ever done so much driving to do so little work as a medic.
