french has too many phonological changes. i want to learn a good language to have a good point of reference when studying any other romance language

Neolatino is not a real language
I learnt Latin for a few years, unless you have some love for Roman and Medieval Literature and history, there is no point.

Just learn the language you actually want to learn. Learning a language with no way of interacting with it other than reading is not a way to learn other Romance languages. If you want to learn Spanish just do that.

i think ill learn latin then because i am interested in etymologies and i would like to read ovid's metamorphosis in the original language one day as well. latin also has inter-linear translations which should make learning easier
