The "innovative" """tech""" companies only exist because of american financial manipulation. Once the house of cards come tumbling down and you cant give free federal reserve money to startups that run at a loss for 15 years they will all vanish as suddenly as they appeared. People really think an app that lets people work as gigslaves to cart people around in their own cars and in return for nothing takes a 50% cut is a "technological revolution".

Not collapse but they will defiantly slowdown in the near future. China's issue is that their citizens became to rich. 20 years ago they could pay their workers nothing and hyper manufacture everything because their country was still poor, now the average person in China requires higher wages and is interested in pursuing education rather than being a sweat shop worker, USA is already starting to move alot of their manufactruing jobs to Mexico instead now, this last year they pumped Mexcio with 40 Billion dollars in FDI. When you are a devolping nation you can simply increase your labour supply or capital stock ( China did this through having a really strong savings rate) and grow your economy, but for first world nations you need to invest in education, techonlgy, R&D, innovation, property rights etc

The other issue with China is they created infrastrucre projects on the unrealistic assumption that their economy will grow at 5-10% forever which is unrealistic. Their provinces and municipalities when into debt financing failed infrastructure projects and cities with no one to live and pay property taxes..

>>
>>215359100
It's an old copypost from 2023.
>>
>>215359076
Even still focusing strictly on manufacturing isn't really a good way to look at economy. Manufacturing jobs are usually out in poorer nations for cheap labour. Devolped countries tend to have more high skilled jobs
>>
>>215359163
>price of goods? Tons of steel? "10x manufacturing" doesn't actually mean anything in particular.
producing goods in moderation so as to not crash the price is literally 101 of supply and demand
china overproduces shit by forcing it instead of letting the market decide and it causes them lots of losses, and now they're paying the price
>>
>>215359244
in whatever measure you want to measure, america is light years ahead of everyone else
I don't like america, but lying to yourself is how you become a third world nation that doesn't improve or compete
accept that america is still ahead instead of paying for propaganda to convince yourself and your people that you're doing better
>>
>>215359140
China is simply focusing on the real economy rather than the fake&gay economy that's increasingly the focus of the USA, and when the Exorbitant Privilege of the Dollar ends the fake&gay economy will deflate like a whoopie cushion sat on by nicocado avocado. That's why I am hyping china, and when USA falls yurop will be far freer, hopefully.

I'm not doing any of that I am steering the conversation away from the restarted sede who thinks that mass manufacturing is a sign on a Tron economy. USA's economy is heavily drive on consumption China's is on international trade and devaluing the yuan so people import their stuff
>>
>>215359354

>Americans will pay 12 thousand dollars for a table made from an old log and 80 liters of turquoise epoxy
False. For example China started producing cheap cars en masse in 2020 and amerisharts started buying them.
Also US has 3.2 Trillion revenue from exports (China has 3.8T for comparison)

China becoming more developed has been good for everyone, they made a lot of things more affordable. You don't want the wealthiest to have a monopoly on things. A lot of companies like Apple and NVIDIA have a lot to thank for China, without them they would not be where they are today. Even ignoring the manufacturing chains and logistics China has built up they are also a giant customer base. More competition is good for everyone

China's One Belt One Road failed.

China is already retrieving money from the global south, instead of investing.

Skyscraper collapsed in Bangkok
>After the collapse, Thailand seized 2441 tons of defective materials, and confirmed that concrete reinforcement bars didn't meet quality standards. This Chinese supplier has reportedly delivered products to other construction sites of the One Belt and One Road project.

Sven:
Just because the only service you interact with is a food app, on account of being unable to converse with other people enough to order food in person, does not entail this is the only piece of a service based economy.
There are whole obscure industries which rely on opaque technical innovations you've never heard of.
And every sector of this, every piece of the economy, requires financial services and capital. What do you think happens when nobody buys products from a factory due to limits on capital? The factory closes. What happens when nobody can finance the factory? It never gets built.
The idea of "real economy" is bullshit. Anything where people exchange things they deem of worth is part of the economy.
Literally no manufacturing can exist without a network of logistics, accounting, and financial services. Not to mention tailored computer programming. You may think manufacturing is "real" because it has some physical thing you can imagine, but it's just laughably ignorant. Not to mention, the US has a massive energy and agriculture sector.
In fact, manufacturing is one of the simplest things any poor country can offer. All it needs is cheap labor, while FDI provides the technology and capital.
And guess what, all those airy "fake" things like laws, patents, and IP actually matter. A lot. Because companies and individuals need those to provide a guarantee of return while also giving the market a chance at participating in their innovations, rather than rely on feudal guilds.
Any company which puts it all in China will ALWAYS be fucked over, and always loses. They always fuck over the foreigners for their own, and the unconnected Chinase for the well-connected, while maintaining a phony, controlled financial market. This is why they can never be a reserve currency.

China's solar panel companies are in the red. The production capacity of solar panels far exceeds demand, and the market price has not stopped falling. The market cap of LONGi has fallen to $18 billion. Four years ago, their market cap temporarily exceeded $80 billion, but 70% of that has evaporated.

I don't care about geopolitics. If you want to buy a wireless flash trigger for example you can buy a a Profoto one for $400 or you can buy a Chinese one for $80. Western stuff used to be even more expensive when they were first introduced. Sure, large studios in Western countries will have Profoto lights, modifiers, equipment, etc. but for beginners, hobbists, non-Western people, etc. Chinese studio lights, equipment have been a game changer. Same with audio equipment. Studios will have Yamaha monitors or something like that, legacy brands. Bands will use Sennheiser or Shure IEMs and wireless transfers. But for every day people Audio-Technica and Chinese stuff have been great. China made a lot of things affordable for hobbists in areas where Western companies had a monopoly with little innovation.

China's real-estate crisis is even worsening.

2021: Evergrande defaulted on $300 billion of debt
2023: Country Garden defaulted on $187 billion of debt
2025: Vanke CEO resigns, about to default

Vanke's default will cause the next biggest property crash in China.

>Vanke, one of China's largest property developers, said that its top executives were stepping down and warned of a $6.2 billion loss for 2024, the latest sign that China’s grueling multiyear property downturn has not reached the bottom. Across China, dozens of real estate companies have defaulted on ballooning debt. Millions of home buyers have been left without apartments that they had paid for.

It's funny how true this is. Two of his biggest fuck ups were when he did things and could have just left them alone. The first was disappearing Jack Ma for a while and blocking the Ant Financial IPO which caused a capital flight of several trillion that hasn't returned and then his autistic zero covid strategy of shutting the country/cities completely down when there was a case detected years after the rest of the world had moved on. Eventually they changed course on both but several years later their growth hasn't rebounded.
