I unironically am planning to visit India, since i wont stay long, im torn between north or south india. Im mostly interested in the historical sites, so none of the bs pajeet/street food meme here pls.
Do any of you anon have ever been there? Any tips? If there is any indian here you guys are welcome to engage in the conversation.

Im not a woman, and i can defend myself, so not a problem.
Plus, india has a lot of history, and thats what im after, i dont care about going to some slum in Mumbai, or eating streetnfood in Kolkatta. I want to see the history of it

i think indian cities have some sort of tier system so there are some cities than are much more civilised than the shitholes like dehli or mumbai

Taj Mahal is really a must, book a place where you can see it from the rooftop

I've seem some videos of Kolkatta, its always rainy and gloomy, and the city looks a little rundown. There is some pretty interesting architecture there from the british raj era, since it was its capital.
But i don't know man, im torn, maybe i'll visit south india first, seems like a safe option for someone who has never been to the country
